Counseling is a collaborative process designed to help you feel safe, understood, and supported as you work toward improving your overall quality of life. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide a calm, respectful, and supportive environment where you can speak openly and move at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to listen carefully, offer honest and compassionate feedback, and help you develop practical tools for meaningful and lasting change. My therapeutic approach is solution-focused, client-centered, and nonjudgmental, while remaining grounded and objective so we can stay focused on your goals. I specialize in individual and couples counseling, with a strong focus on relationships, communication, trust-building, and navigating personal or interpersonal challenges at home or in the workplace. I also work with individuals experiencing addiction-related concerns, including substance use, gambling, and pornography addiction, as well as stress, anxiety, and life transitions. Together, we will identify patterns, explore contributing factors, and develop strategies that support emotional balance, improved self-esteem, and healthier decision-making. My priority is to create a safe and empowering space where you feel comfortable being open and engaged in the therapeutic process. This foundation allows us to address concerns at their core and work toward greater clarity, resilience, and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another and beginning the intake process. I’ll gather relevant background information, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and work with you to identify both your main concerns and any underlying factors that may be contributing to them. Together, we’ll begin developing an initial understanding of your needs and outline a treatment plan that aligns with your goals and priorities. It’s important to me that you feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable from the start. I encourage you to use the first session as an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether my approach feels like a good fit for you. Finding the right therapeutic match is an important part of the process. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of direction moving forward. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels appropriate and manageable for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to help clients gain clarity and momentum through a solution-focused, goal-oriented approach. I work collaboratively with clients to identify what matters most to them and to translate insight into practical, achievable steps that support meaningful and sustainable change. I have particular strength and experience in men’s mental health, including working with concerns related to stress, identity, emotional regulation, relationships, and performance pressures. I understand that many men struggle to talk openly about personal challenges, and I create a respectful, direct, and nonjudgmental space that supports honest conversation and progress. I also have extensive experience working with pornography addiction, gambling, and other compulsive behaviors. I am skilled at helping clients identify underlying patterns, triggers, and emotional drivers, while developing healthier coping strategies, accountability, and improved self-control. My approach focuses on reducing shame, increasing insight, and supporting long-term behavioral change. As a strong and attentive listener, I am able to recognize patterns and core issues that may not be immediately obvious. Drawing on over two decades of experience across private practice, crisis intervention, and couples counseling, I provide grounded, real-world guidance tailored to each client’s unique situation. I am thoughtful, direct when appropriate, and consistently focused on helping clients build confidence, resilience, and a more balanced, fulfilling life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with men, individuals, and couples who are ready to look honestly at their challenges and are open to creating meaningful, positive change. Many of the clients I work with are navigating relationship concerns such as communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, trust issues, or difficulty expressing needs—whether in long-term partnerships, marriages, or dating relationships. I have a strong interest in working with men’s mental health, particularly with men who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to talk openly about stress, intimacy, identity, or life transitions. I also support individuals facing addiction and compulsive behaviors, including substance use, gambling, and pornography addiction, especially when these struggles are impacting relationships, self-esteem, or daily functioning. I am well-suited for clients who have been carrying their struggles privately and are seeking a nonjudgmental space to talk things through with honesty and clarity. I also welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, including those within the LGBTQ community, and strive to provide respectful, affirming care. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I work best with clients who value insight, practical tools, and a therapist who will listen closely while also offering thoughtful feedback and guidance. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening relationships, and supporting lasting personal growth.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have incorporated Solution-Focused Therapy into my practice for several years, finding it especially effective for clients seeking clarity and forward momentum. This approach aligns with my therapeutic style, emphasizing talk therapy, sharing relevant past experiences, and helping clients externalize their challenges while focusing on achievable goals. I use it to support clients in identifying their strengths and envisioning practical steps toward meaningful change.

I had 2 or 3 sessions with him but he seemed he was not actually listening to me. When I asked him to go over our previous session, he had all wrong information about me so I abruptly ended the session and found a new provider
