LICSW, 8 years of experience
I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Boston University and am a licensed therapist in the state of Massachusetts. Over the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including adolescents and adults, in both outpatient therapy and community settings. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or stress, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and experiences. I take a client-centered, integrative approach to therapy, which means that I tailor my methods to meet your unique needs and goals. I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to: CBT, DBT skills, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, MI, Strengths Based Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am also a strong advocate and support LGBTQIA+ population.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then get to know you as a person. I am big into building a relationship with my clients first. I will also ask you questions so I can get to know what you have dealt with in your life and what type of experiences you have had. I will also want to hear what your goals are for therapy.
I care significantly for my clients and hope to help everyone through what they are dealing with. I believe that all people have strengths and are special in their own way.
