After two decades in public education, I realized my true passion was helping people navigate life’s challenges on a deeper level. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural next step—one where I could use my ability to truly listen, think creatively, and see the whole picture to make a lasting impact. My work in schools, Major League Baseball, and private practice has given me a broad perspective and deep compassion for the struggles people face. With specialized training in different therapeutic modalities, I’m committed to offering personalized, evidence-based care to help clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to heal.
In our work together, you can expect a supportive, collaborative process focused on your personal growth. We'll set goals, reflect on progress, and use light, practical homework to build momentum. I enjoy working with clients who are ready to actively engage in therapy and are open to noticing small, positive shifts along the way—because those small steps often lead to big change.
What makes me unique as a therapist is my warm, down-to-earth approach combined with practical, solution-focused strategies. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported, while also helping them take meaningful steps toward change. I blend compassion with clarity, helping clients understand their patterns, reconnect with their values, and move forward with confidence. My style is collaborative and empowering—I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to guide, support, and challenge you in helpful ways. Clients often tell me they feel seen, encouraged, and more hopeful after our work together.
I enjoy working with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next steps. Whether they’re navigating life transitions, managing stress, or facing emotional challenges, I provide a safe, supportive space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. I’m especially drawn to individuals who are open to growth and motivated to work on themselves—even if they’re not sure where to start. Therapy is a place to reconnect with your strengths, gain clarity, and move forward with purpose. If you're ready to shift old patterns and build a more fulfilling life, I’m here to walk that path with you.
I use Solution-Focused Therapy because it’s a practical, empowering approach that helps clients move forward without getting stuck in the past. Instead of focusing on problems, we look at what’s working, even in small ways, and build on those strengths. This creates hope and momentum, which can be incredibly motivating—especially for clients feeling overwhelmed or stuck. SFT is goal-oriented and future-focused. Together, we explore what clients want their lives to look like and identify the steps, sometimes already happening, that move them in that direction. It’s not about ignoring pain, but about helping clients see their own resilience and the possibilities ahead. Many clients appreciate how SFT highlights their abilities rather than their shortcomings. It boosts confidence, reinforces progress, and offers a sense of direction—even in just a few sessions. I also value how adaptable it is, easily integrating with other therapeutic approaches as needed.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is beneficial because it helps clients build psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, accept difficult thoughts or feelings, and take action aligned with their values. Rather than trying to eliminate distress, ACT encourages clients to make space for it, reducing its power and control over their lives. This approach is especially helpful for people who feel stuck in cycles of avoidance, anxiety, or self-criticism. Through mindfulness, values exploration, and committed action, clients learn to respond more effectively to life’s challenges. ACT doesn’t ask clients to “fix” themselves but to live more fully, even with discomfort. That shift often brings relief, clarity, and a greater sense of purpose. It’s a compassionate, empowering model that supports lasting change by helping people focus less on struggling with their thoughts—and more on creating a life that matters.
ERP is the gold standard when treating OCD. Together we will develop exposures in various forms/formats and starting with low level challenges to help you take control of OCD.
