I am a bilingual Licensed Psychologist in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico, specializing in evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Committed to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care, I support diverse populations in navigating their mental health journeys with confidence and clarity. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, my priority is to get to know you and understand what brings you to therapy. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. This session is also an opportunity for you to share any thoughts or concerns about the process, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you have about me or my approach. My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin this journey together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for clients, where they can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and emotions. I’m also deeply committed to providing evidence-based, individualized care tailored to each person’s unique needs. Ultimately, my focus is on building trust, fostering self-awareness, and empowering clients to develop the skills they need for lasting change.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking support with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. I work well with individuals who are open to self-reflection and committed to making positive changes in their lives. My approach is particularly effective for those who value evidence-based therapies, such as CBT, DBT, or ACT, and are ready to explore practical solutions while building emotional resilience. Additionally, I am experienced in providing culturally sensitive care to diverse populations, including bilingual clients in both English and Spanish. My goal is to support individuals through a collaborative process, helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate their mental health journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is a type of evidence based treatment that helps people change negative thoughts and behaviors. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. Together, we will be able to learn skills to help reduce and challenge negative thoughts to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. CBT is often used to treat anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health challenges. It’s practical, goal-oriented, and focuses on improving the present rather than digging too much into the past.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a type of therapy that helps people accept their thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them. It focuses on living a meaningful life based on your values, even when facing difficult emotions. ACT is helpful for anxiety, depression, stress, and many other challenges. It teaches you to stop struggling with your thoughts and instead focus on living a meaningful life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a type of therapy that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and make healthier choices. It focuses on four main areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. DBT is especially helpful for people who feel overwhelmed by emotions or struggle with impulsive behaviors. Together, you will learn practical skills to create a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is a type of therapy that helps people face their fears in a safe and controlled way, without giving in to compulsions or avoidance. It’s mainly used to treat OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) but can also help with anxiety disorders.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term therapy that focuses on solutions rather than problems. Instead of analyzing past issues, it will help you identify your strengths and create practical steps toward a better future.
