I have the unique combination of being licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), a Board-certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a licensed applied behavior analyst (LABA). Within my practice, I utilize a blended approach based on clinical and client-centered perspective and behavior therapy. I specialize in working with women struggling with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety. I have several years of education and experience working with these populations. I find my work very fulfilling and am committed to supporting my clients.
In our first session I want the client to feel a sense of comfort and trust with me. I want to provide that safe space they may not have in their everyday lives. I am non-judgmental and compassionate and I want to support you! I will begin the process by asking what brings you to therapy and what you are looking to achieve.
I am committed to helping my clients reach their goals and become their best selves. I am compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive.
The clients I serve are typically women who may struggle with symptoms and ADHD, ASD, anxiety related disorders or mild depression. They may feel lonely, overwhelmed, misunderstood, and lack a strong support network. Clients I work with may struggle with relationships, career, and self-esteem.
I have studied and have several trainings in CBT. I find that it is an excellent approach for individuals struggling with anxiety through the use of identifying, understanding, and reframing unhelpful thought patterns.
I have had several trainings in ACT. I use it to encourage clients to understand their own values, use mindfulness techniques and commit to taking action towards growth and positive change.
I believe that all clients have a right and responsibility to understand a particular diagnosis they may carry. I provide psychoeducation on ADHD, Anxiety related disorders, ASD, and depression.
This approach is an excellent way to help clients regulate overwhelming emotions and manage their own behaviors. I have had many trainings in DBT.
