Hello! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) specializing in work with women, children, adolescents, and parents. I also work with couples and adults struggling with a variety of challenges—including anxiety, depression, trauma, and work-, school-, and relationship stress. I have experience with neurodivergent populations, LGBTQIA+, and various faith communities. I use a variety of treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and play and art therapies. I provide treatment from a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective and am focused on empowering my clients to meet their goals and live happier, more fulfilling lives.
In our first session, we will get to know each other and explore your challenges and goals. We will discuss what you want to get out of counseling, things you have and have not liked in previous therapy experiences, and your power as the client. We will discuss an initial treatment plan based on your personal goals.
I am compassionate and passionate about helping my clients heal and thrive. I enjoy empowering my clients to see their worth and their strengths and overcome their challenges. I create a safe environment where you can engage it difficult exploration, knowing you have a caring anchor beside you on the journey. I also bring with me an enthusiasm and curiosity that helps kids and teens feel understood.
I love working with children, teens, young adults, parents, and women struggling to balance career, home, and relationship demands. My clients recognize ways in which they are struggling and have some idea of the goals they want to work on and ways they wish to grow. My ideal clients recognize that therapy can be hard work and are ready to do the work to grow and heal. I also work well with counseling-resistant kids and teens and utilize play therapy and relationship-building to process and grow in a fun and supportive setting.
I have years of experience with CBT and use cognitive challenging and behavioral change as key interventions in treating anxiety, depression, and other disorders.
I use many DBT-based interventions, including mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, to help clients with mood disorders, anxiety, and interpersonal challenges.
I provide trauma-informed care to my clients with various trauma experiences that may be directly or indirectly impacting their current functioning.
I serve all my clients from a strengths-based lens, helping them recognize and access their strengths to achieve their goals and increase sense of self-worth.
