I am a bi-lingual and bi-cultural Licensed Certified Social Worker who received her Masters in Social Work from Boston College. I provide effective, transformative, and lasting life changes in children, adults, and families. I've worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress disorders, adjustment, relationship challenges, trauma, and mood disorders. I am passionate about providing a counseling environment that encourages respect, safety, trust, and honesty while tailoring each session to the clients' need.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
As a hispanic woman, I understand issues with cultural conflicts and issues that arise due to feeling unaccepted in certain environments. I completed my Masters in Social Work (MSW) at Boston College, my personal and professional experiences help me provide guidance and support that offers a safe space for clients to feel heard.
I love working with individuals that are seeking to be challenged and shifting perspectives to see a different view point. I believe an ideal client is someone open to be honest about their struggles, and looking for solutions to remedy current or past stressors.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 4 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
