Regardless of where you are in life's journey-whether you're a young or independent adult, an expectant parent navigating the complexities of pregnancy or now postpartum, or an elder embracing the wisdom of later years-I am here to support you! Much of my practice is providing medication management when necessary and utilizing brief therapy techniques to address concerns like anxiety, depression, PTSD, sleep issues or everyday stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, we'll go through your intake paperwork together and I will often gather additional information from you. This will ensure that I am able to gain an understanding of who you are and what your potential medication needs may be. Additionally, this is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and learn a bit about me and my practice.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients often say that my approach is confident, open-minded, empathetic and compassionate. I am often thanked for being "non-judgmental" and frequently hear "you talk to me like a real person and understand real life problems." This creates a sense of safety and support during sessions which will help build trust and develop rapport with each other.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to enhance their mental well-being but lack the necessary tools to do so. Often, clients hesitate to seek out mental health treatment in fear of being judged, wondering if their struggles are severe enough to warrant treatment or due to cultural or generational barriers. Together lets uncover your potential for improved mental well health and navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Implementing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) during sessions assists in guiding my patients to identify solutions and capitalize on their strengths. By highlighting their strengths, coping strategies, and existing resources, patients are empowered to acknowledge their own resilience and capabilities, thereby facilitating the achievement of their goals.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation serves as a cornerstone from empowering you with knowledge about your condition and treatment options. This seamlessly integrated with psychiatric medication management by explaining the purpose, potential side effects, and prescribed medication. this approach helps foster your engagement and improve treatment outcomes well allowing you to make informed decisions.
