I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise working with LGBTQIA+ and Nuerodivergent individuals. Starting therapy can feel scary — but it can also be life-changing. You are brave, and you're not alone. I believe that therapy is ready to work for those who are ready to make the leap. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ it is close to my heart to ensure that all people have a safe, nonjudgmental place to process life's challenges. Hi, I'm Amneris Rosario – I'm glad you're here. Let me guess: You've been thinking about therapy for a while now. Maybe months. Maybe years. But something kept stopping you – too busy, too expensive, "it's not that bad yet," or maybe just the fear of opening up to a stranger who might judge you or not really get it. Here's what I want you to know: You're already doing the hardest part by being here. You don't need to wait until things get worse. You don't need permission to ask for help. And you definitely don't have to figure this out alone. That's literally what I'm here for. As a board-certified bilingual therapist (MS, LMHC, LPC, NCC), veteran, and founder of Time to Talk Therapy, I've spent 10 years supporting 700+ clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions that felt impossible. I've worked everywhere from crisis units and corrections facilities to refugee shelters and quiet therapy rooms – supporting people through chronic mental illness, personality disorders, abuse, addiction, trauma, ADHD, OCD, and some of the hardest moments of their lives — and here's what I know for sure: Healing doesn't require perfection. It requires honesty and someone who actually gets it. You're not broken. You're dealing with hard things. And you deserve support that feels supportive – not cold, not judgmental, not like one more thing you're supposed to "fix" about yourself. I specialize in: • Trauma & PTSD • Anxiety & Depression • Self-Sabotage & Repeating Patterns • Complex PTSD & Personality Disorders • Life Transitions I know life can get busy, so I offer weekend availability, early-morning sessions, and after-hours appointments (6:00 AM–10:00 PM), along with self-pay options to give you a little more flexibility.

After spending 25 years in the legal field, I returned to school to pursue a career in counseling and earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My desire to go into counseling stems from my personal experience of witnessing others struggle with mental health issues. I provide individual therapy with both adolescents and adults. My experience includes working in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment center, and juvenile detention. I help individuals manage their anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship issues. We will work together to identify what is not working and how to improve your overall functioning. During my free time, I enjoy reading about different modalities and interventions for treating trauma and attachment theory. During my free time, I enjoy treasure hunting at thrift stores, gardening, traveling, and spending time with my family and dogs (Witten the lab, Dizzy the Jack Russell, and Beast the mixed breed). You have taken the first step by reaching out to explore the hangups and habits that are holding you back. I look forward to working with you!

My name is Vincent Egbuchulam, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience. My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT involves helping clients learn and practice new skills, develop healthier thinking patterns, and adopt more effective coping strategies. I may assign homework to reinforce the skills we work on during sessions, as I believe that applying these techniques in your daily life enhances their effectiveness. SFBT operates on the principle that individuals are competent and capable of finding solutions to improve their lives. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to describe your challenges, set personal goals, and provide feedback. Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress. I am committed to supporting those who seek to enhance their emotional well-being. During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe in a client-centered, collaborative approach, where the therapeutic relationship is a partnership. I meet clients as equals, respecting them as the experts in their own lives, and providing unconditional positive regard. I recognize that clients’ struggles are often shaped by social, cultural, and political forces like gender, race, and class. I take an intersectional approach, understanding how various aspects of identity intersect to create unique experiences. I focus on empowerment—helping clients reclaim their voice, challenge societal norms, and recognize their inner strength. My approach is eclectic and tailored to each client’s needs. I integrate methods like Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support healing, whether through trauma processing, emotional regulation, or shifting unhelpful thought patterns. I’m also trauma-informed, providing a safe space for clients to explore past experiences at their own pace. I value cultural humility and am committed to understanding the impact of cultural background on mental health. I strive to be inclusive, respecting each person’s unique worldview and lived experience. I see therapy as a strength-based process rather than a path to fixing someone. Clients are not broken but resilient individuals with the capacity to grow and heal. My goal is to support clients in reconnecting with their agency and personal power, empowering them to make choices that align with their true selves. Ultimately, I am an empathetic, compassionate therapist dedicated to the growth, healing, and empowerment of my clients, always working from a place of respect, authenticity, and social justice.

I know at times life can seem confusing or even impossible. I believe with every fiber of my being we all have the answers we need. Somehow we get separated from our core strength. You are the expert on you, you alone hold your truth. I am interested in your story and use the description, "enlightened witness" as a way to describe some of what I do in my work as a therapist and healer. I see myself as a fellow traveler, a helper, and a companion who "holds the lantern" to help guide people to see out of dark places and into their truth. Much of the time we are living a narrative others have crafted, often by pain rather than strength. These narratives can feel like prisons but we can heal and take back our story, and choose to see from our core. Embrace compassion, reflection and most of all self-love. Some of my greatest joy comes from helping people move past pain into healthy and loving relationships with themselves and others. I believe suffering is inevitable but not without wisdom and growth. Sometimes seeing our strengths is difficult. Self-love must include your whole being and all parts ~ messy, vulnerable, raw and authentic. You are the velveteen rabbit and you are already worthy of your own love. You are already real. I am licensed in Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. I see clients in these states only at this point. FYI Please schedule on the hour only. Otherwise, I will have to call you back and reschedule. I usually offer mostly daytime hours so having the time to meet during the day is important.

Thank you for taking the first step of courage and making yourself a priority today. Opening yourself up and being vulnerable can be a tremendous step to your healing process. As Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing, it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.” You are showing up for yourself today! Although the first steps can be overwhelming, I can walk with you and help guide you on the journey of healing and peace. I will always provide a safe space of acceptance and non-judgement for you to share your emotional pain, grow to love and be kind to yourself, and find the peace you deserve to heal. Remember that you are worthy and deserving of being free of the emotional pain you are experiencing. Be kind to yourself. **If you are viewing my profile for your child (3-17 years of age), I provide a calming and accepting space to assist with regulating your child's emotions. If your child is experiencing symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or difficulty focusing due to inattention or hyperactivity, or your child is lacking motivation and seems more irritable and angrier than usual, I can teach your child coping skills and strategies. I will focus on building an authentic and supportive relationship with you and utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, Attachment -Base approaches and many others. Hi, I’m Carrie Rimato, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist serving clients in the Greater Houston area, including Katy, Texas. My professional journey began in education—I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Houston Christian University (formerly HBU) and spent over a decade teaching in both public and private schools. My passion for helping others grow eventually led me to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University, which I completed in 2018. Since then, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families across various settings, including private practice, hospitals, and crisis centers. I take an eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy—drawing from EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and family systems theory—to provide personalized care tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Whether you're working through anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or relationship issues, my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported, empowered, and heard. Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, watching a good movie, and traveling to any beach I can find—my favorite place to relax and recharge.

My name is Aleida, welcome to my profile. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes a lot of courage. I want to be the first to commend you for taking this step as I know it is not an easy one. I look forward to getting to know you and forming a strong therapeutic alliance. I am a Bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (State of TX). I am also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern, and a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist. I have 9 years of professional experience in mental health, and 20 years overall in medical and mental health case management, training, and education. I have ample experience in helping clients with depression, stress, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, addictions, trauma, abuse, and anger management among many other mental health issues and disorders. I am very empathetic and my top priority is to create an open and safe environment where my clients can share thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. I consider myself to be very approachable and easy to talk to, and in my professional interaction display cultural awareness, competence and humility with each and every one of my clients. I recognize and acknowledge my clients as unique individuals, with diverse backgrounds, who may not share commonalities with me. I am always open to learn about my clients background, and by no means will appear to be the expert in their life experience. I want to have my clients feel welcomed and supported through their diverse life stressors. I do not take a cookie-cutter approach to therapy, but instead, focus on my client as an individual, and tailor a therapeutic intervention that will best help my client in feeling supported and heard, while working on achieving their therapeutic goals.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Texas rather than a city like Dallas?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Texas from Houston to Austin! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Texas.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on ADHD?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, ADHD, is filtering therapists in Texas that work with patients with similar concerns.

What are the "Clients say I’m" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
