About me

Hi, I'm Coach E, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Bigger Fish to Fry Counseling & Coaching. I provide a warm, supportive, and action-oriented approach to therapy, helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with practical tools they can begin using right away. My practice specializes in anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, ADHD, OCD, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress management. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to help clients move beyond simply talking about problems and begin creating meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're healing from loss, rebuilding after a major life transition, or striving to become the healthiest version of yourself, I'm here to help you discover that you truly have bigger fish to fry than the obstacles holding you back.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. I'll take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what's happening in your life right now, what you've already tried, and what you hope will be different as a result of counseling. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I'm the right therapist for you. I believe therapy should be more than just talking. Before you leave your first session, we'll identify a few clear goals and you'll leave with practical strategies or a small action step you can begin using right away. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, challenged when appropriate, and supported as we work together toward meaningful, lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach stands out because I believe therapy should produce results you can actually see and feel in your everyday life. I don't want clients to leave sessions simply feeling better for an hour—I want them to notice healthier relationships, increased confidence, stronger boundaries, reduced anxiety, improved communication, and a greater ability to handle life's challenges. We identify goals together, track progress, and celebrate meaningful wins along the way. I also recognize that every person is unique, so therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I tailor treatment to your personality, strengths, values, and goals, creating strategies that work specifically for you. As clients begin seeing measurable progress, they often become more motivated and invested in their therapeutic journey because they can clearly recognize the positive changes taking place in their lives. My goal is to help you experience transformation that is not only meaningful to you, but noticeable to the people around you as well.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready for change, even if they don't yet know where to start. They may be struggling with anxiety, grief, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They don't have to have everything figured out—they simply need to be willing to show up, be honest, and take small steps toward growth. I work best with individuals who want more than temporary relief—they want lasting transformation. They are open to learning new skills, reflecting between sessions, and putting practical strategies into action. Whether they're rebuilding after a loss, strengthening relationships, improving emotional well-being, or creating a new chapter in life, I enjoy partnering with clients who are committed to investing in themselves and discovering that meaningful change is possible.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is one of the primary approaches I use because it helps clients build on their strengths rather than focusing only on their problems. Together, we identify what's already working, clarify your goals, and develop practical, achievable steps that move you toward the life you want. Instead of staying stuck in the past, we focus on creating solutions that fit your unique circumstances and values. I use SFBT to help clients recognize their resilience, uncover exceptions to their challenges, and make meaningful progress one step at a time. My clients leave sessions with practical strategies they can apply immediately, allowing them to build confidence, experience measurable success, and create lasting change in their daily lives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and manage intense emotions while developing healthier ways to respond to life's challenges. Together, we focus on building practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness so clients can navigate difficult situations without feeling overwhelmed or reacting impulsively. In my practice, DBT is highly action-oriented. I help clients apply these skills to real-life situations, whether they're improving relationships, setting healthy boundaries, managing anxiety, coping with stress, or responding to conflict more effectively. My goal is for clients to leave each session with practical tools they can use immediately, building greater confidence, emotional balance, and resilience over time.
