Life doesn’t always follow a clear path. During difficult transitions or challenging seasons, it can feel like you’re moving forward without a map—unsure of what’s next or how to get there. I’m here to be a steady guide as you navigate the ups, downs, and detours that life brings. Whether you're facing stress, trauma, loss, or personal change, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m passionate about helping people find clarity, resilience, and healing. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to walk beside you. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Trinity University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary’s University, both in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized experience supporting children, teens, adults, and couples through grief and trauma. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents. I am also currently pursuing certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders to further support individuals during the pregnancy and postpartum period.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our initial session begins by discussing our counseling agreement so that there is understanding and I can answer any questions. However, the majority of the session involves us building rapport and allowing you a space to discuss the reasons that have led you to seek counseling. Once we have that discussion, we can begin to develop a treatment plan that involves specific individualized goals for your counseling journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

When working with each client, I tailor my approach to meet their needs. I believe that building rapport and actively listening to each client's concerns plays a significant role in achieving effective and positive counseling outcomes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with clients of all ages. I primarily utilize a person-centered approach, which focuses on empowering clients to take control of their counseling experience and make their own decisions. My role is to serve as a guide and resource throughout this process.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I work with a person-centered approach, as I value an individual's uniqueness and empower them to make informed choices that they feel is best for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT throughout my counseling career. It helps clients challenge reoccurring unhealthy thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less stressed life.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilize trauma-informed care with each client. I work to understand and recognize how certain experiences affect each client in order to alleviate any negative reminders.
