You may have heard things like, “Just move on,” “let it go,” or “that’s in the past.” But if the pain is still there, if your heart feels heavy, if it affects your daily life, if you have to pretend everything is fine, or if it takes great effort just to get through your responsibilities, you may be experiencing trauma-related responses. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where you can process what you’ve been through, validate your emotions, and develop healthy ways to heal and move forward. A trauma-focused approach allows us to work gently and effectively with your experiences while strengthening your emotional stability and sense of control. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), bilingual in English and Spanish, with extensive experience providing trauma-focused individual therapy. I earned my Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, and have been practicing as a mental health professional since 2017. Prior to working in the United States, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree and practiced as a Psychotherapist in Cuba for eight years.

I am dedicated to helping you through your journey of discovering a better you, or perhaps, regaining the you that you may have lost through difficult times. I like to view life as a book. Like any book, our life has chapters. Some of these chapters are happy, some are sad, some have successes that we can be proud of, and some are chapters we would not want anyone else to ever read. It is true that we cannot go back and change these chapters, but we can learn and grow from them, and you know what? The next chapter is unwritten and waiting to be your best chapter yet!

Glimmer- verb shine faintly with a wavering light. It is my most sincere belief that everyone deserves to live a life they enjoy living. And it is my belief that the ability to indulge in this is already inside you. As your therapist I am here to simply help you uncover and source what is already there. I invite you to become curious about yourself in the safe container of our sessions so that you can cultivate self-compassion in this process. I draw from my education, training and personal experiences in my work with clients. My approach is based on the idea that healing is a relational process: I will collaborate with you to create a space where the you feel safe, seen, and understood. I am EMDR therapy trained and with that in addition to polyvagal and somatic informed tools I will help you along your path of self-discovery. In my practice, I combine traditional and nontraditional methods to help you heal and explore through a process that is playful, accepting, and empathetic. During our sessions, we will focus on cultivating the awareness and skills that will help you find YOU. “we are all just walking eachother home” -ram das

Hello! My name is Ms. Tammy Carson and I am a board-certified Psychotherapist. I am originally from Boston Massachusetts. In my younger years I traveled and worked in many states in a corporate yet still helping role as a business analyst and functioned as a project manager too in South Africa Johannesburg. I am licensed in the state of Massachusetts and Florida. I attended a Christian college for my undergraduate degree at Eastern Nazarene a college affiliated through the church of the Nazarene. My last job before doing psychotherapy full time was working in an emergency room alongside psychiatric residents doing crisis evaluations, advocating for all populations to get them the proper level of care needed. I like to think in psychotherapy session’s that, “I meet people where they are at in life”, and take it from there. I am an empath and proud of it. You have taken the first step towards empowerment in your life by wanting to make a change! I have been where you are right now. I have experienced anxiety and irrational thoughts. I can totally relate to what you are going through. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that mimics depression and bipolar, multiple sclerosis, and stage three chronic kidney disease. For a while, I never wanted to leave my house, get out of bed and found it difficult to face the day. I was able to overcome so many things and so can you. I always encourage my clients to get a medical check-up prior to mental health treatment to rule out any physical health symptoms.

I genuinely believe in the power of therapy. So much can be improved upon through supportive connections, empathy and the general resilience of the human condition. I have a vested curiosity in the lived experiences of my clients and a commitment to their growth and goals. A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. I am a born and raised Floridian - from St. Petersburg, FL - however, I spent much of my young adult life traveling and moving about (Miami, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Costa Rica, New Orleans and now back in the Tampa Bay Area). I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of North Florida. In 2020, I graduated from Jacksonville University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. My training includes a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia and advanced postdoctoral fellowship training through Harvard Medical School. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and offer culturally responsive, bicultural care that honors each client’s background and lived experiences. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed from carrying so much on their own and unsure how to move forward, but ready for meaningful change. Some are navigating complex trauma, anxiety, depression, infertility, painful life transitions, or relationship challenges while balancing the demands of everyday life. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies that support insight and lasting progress. I believe therapy should be both deeply human and thoughtfully tailored to each person’s story, strengths, and goals.

I specialize in Trauma. I'm down to earth and real, with a side of wit and compassion. I have a background in crisis; I have worked in Psychiatric Hospitals, Medical Hospitals, Emergency Departments and Trauma Centers. As a former 2nd responder, my practice has developed into an integrative approach to therapy with the body's natural biological approach at the heart. Primarily, my approach is to get to the root of the issue, but more importantly, how to heal.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to collecting evidenced based "tools for my toolbox" to aid those grappling with finding the new normal after their world has shifted. I most love helping people find language to describe their losses, often when there has been difficulty finding the words, inspiring people to find hope again, and facilitate the development of a plan to move forward in a way that both honors their experiences and embraces the future. I take an action-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of psychoeducation, storytelling, and evidenced-based interventions to offer meaningful insight to support clients’ healing. I strongly believe that rock bottom is the foundation upon which we can rebuild our lives. We do regular check-ins to review progress along the way. Our goal is not to change the past, but instead to find some relief from symptoms that impact daily functioning. I will solicit feedback regularly during sessions for takeaways to gauge progress and curate treatment interventions based on what is most engaging and productive for the individual client.
