LCSW, 3 years of experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in the fields of mental health and substance abuse. I completed both my undergraduate (BSSW) & my graduate (MSW) studies at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. I have spent the majority of my career as a clinician working with the same underserved populations and communities I grew up in treating addictions and mental health disorders.
I believe in treating each client as an individual, taking the time to understand their unique needs and tailoring my approach to best support them. I take pride in building a strong therapeutic relationship and providing personalized care to every person I work with. I offer a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their challenges, while also fostering accountability and self-awareness to encourage meaningful growth and change.
As a clinician, I believe in the importance of authenticity and human connection in the therapeutic process. I bring my genuine self into my work, recognizing that fostering rapport and trust requires a real and empathetic presence. I am deeply committed to creating an open, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to express themselves. At the same time, I value directness and clarity in my approach. While I am compassionate and understanding, I am also unafraid to challenge clients when necessary, holding them accountable to their personal growth and encouraging them to strive for their best selves. This balance of openness and constructive feedback allows me to guide clients in a meaningful, honest, and supportive way.
My specialty is working with men who struggle with substance abuse and severe mental health disorders. However, I’m also deeply passionate about helping individuals of all genders who face challenges such as attachment and abandonment wounds, shame and guilt, anxiety and depression, grief, trauma bonds, relationship issues, and trauma. As a clinician, I am direct and straightforward, yet always strive to communicate with empathy and understanding. I do utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach, grounded in Psycho-dynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, & Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Through a psychodynamic approach, I help clients explore the underlying origins of their behaviors, emotions, and reactions, fostering insight into how past experiences shape present patterns. This awareness supports them in developing healthier ways of responding and relating.
“I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma-focused intervention that utilizes bilateral eye movements to help clients reprocess and reduce the distress associated with past traumatic experiences.
