Hello, I'm Olga Nikitina, a Licensed Professional Counselor serving clients in Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. I provide a supportive, compassionate, and culturally responsive environment where clients can safely explore challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change. My practice focuses on helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discussing the concerns that brought you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current challenges, personal history, strengths, and goals to gain a better understanding of your needs. Together, we will begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your situation, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and share what you hope to achieve through therapy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable beginning your therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy while drawing from a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, and Family Therapy. With experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. As a bilingual therapist with a multicultural background, I strive to provide culturally responsive care and create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful growth and healing.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and the effects of adverse life experiences. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking practical coping skills, improved communication, greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and lasting emotional well-being. As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in English, Spanish, and Russian, and I enjoy working with individuals and families from diverse cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds. This includes immigrants, first-generation families, and those navigating cultural adjustment, identity development, and the unique challenges of balancing multiple cultures. I believe that understanding each client's cultural background and personal experiences is an essential part of effective therapy. I also provide an inclusive, affirming, and respectful space for members of the LGBTQ+ community. My goal is to create an environment where every client feels safe, heard, valued, and accepted without judgment. I recognize that each person's experiences and identity are unique, and I tailor therapy to honor those differences. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I integrate evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other interventions based on each client's needs and goals. I believe every individual possesses strengths and resilience that can be developed throughout the healing process. Whether you are working through past trauma, managing anxiety or depression, improving relationships, strengthening parenting skills, navigating a major life transition, or simply seeking personal growth, I am committed to helping you build the insight, coping skills, and confidence needed to create meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to provide a supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel empowered to move toward the life you want to live.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical coping skills, challenge negative beliefs, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier behavioral patterns. CBT interventions are tailored to each client's needs and are often integrated with trauma-informed approaches when appropriate.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients develop skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my practice, DBT is used to support clients in managing intense emotions, reducing impulsive behaviors, improving relationships, and building healthier coping strategies. I tailor DBT interventions to each client's individual needs and treatment goals.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences, distressing memories, and adverse life events. In my practice, EMDR is integrated within a trauma-informed treatment approach to reduce emotional distress, strengthen adaptive coping, and promote resilience. I tailor EMDR interventions to each client's readiness, needs, and treatment goals while ensuring emotional safety throughout the process.

Family Therapy

I use Family Therapy to help family members improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address patterns that may contribute to conflict or emotional distress. In my practice, I work collaboratively with families to identify strengths, develop healthy boundaries, enhance problem-solving skills, and foster supportive interactions. Family therapy interventions are tailored to each family's unique needs, cultural background, and treatment goals.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help children, adolescents, and their caregivers process traumatic experiences and reduce trauma-related symptoms. In my practice, I incorporate psychoeducation, coping skills development, emotional regulation, cognitive processing, and caregiver involvement to support healing and resilience. TF-CBT interventions are tailored to the developmental needs of each client and delivered within a safe, trauma-informed framework.
