New to Grow
I compassionately work with women experiencing a variety of life struggles including anxiety, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem and boundary challenges. We must continually "work through what we walk though" in order to experience progress and healing. It is a privilege to support my clients' journeys to live their best lives. I incorporate faith-based counseling for those who desire this approach.
In our first session, I will provide a welcoming nonjudgmental atmosphere to support you and hear your story. You will leave feeling seen, heard, validated and with tools to practice in your daily life. I also like to give homework, whether it's skills practice or an occasional book that supports our work together.
I am highly skilled at making my clients feel "at home" and at ease with my compassionate and personable approach.
I love working with women of all ages to help them heal from any trauma/PTSD. Additionally, I work with women to help them solidify a more solid sense of self/self-worth which many times involves healthy boundary setting. I equip my clients with tools and skills to overcome anxiety which manifests itself in many ways including but not limited to negative self-talk, overthinking, intrusive and irrational thoughts, and spiraling. I enjoy incorporating faith into therapy when desired.
Other specialties
I identify as
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients heal from trauma. I have found that this therapy is extremely helpful and gentle in healing PTSD.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We get to the root of negative self talk by looking at false beliefs that affect thinking, feeling, and actions. This healing can build a more solid sense of self and be life-changing.
Christian Counseling
I love incorporating faith into therapy, Life is unfair, but God is good.
Grief Therapy
Grief is messy, and I help my clients process and navigate loss, which can be the loss of many things in addition to death. (loss of a relationship, a dream, etc.)
