You’re a high-achieving woman who appears successful on the outside, yet internally feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or quietly unfulfilled. You know how to perform, push through, and hold it all together, but patterns like perfectionism, people-pleasing, procrastination, or chronic self-doubt continue to limit your sense of ease, confidence, and fulfillment. You may have a strong career, financial stability, a home, and a life that looks “together” from the outside. Your responsibilities are handled. Your bills are paid. You show up for others. And yet, there’s a persistent sense that something is missing. No matter how much you accomplish, the relief is temporary and the internal pressure quickly returns. You tell yourself you should feel satisfied, but instead feel stuck in cycles you can’t seem to outthink or outwork. My work is designed for women like you, those who are capable, self-aware, and ready for meaningful change. Together, we move beyond surface-level coping strategies and address the deeper roots of self-sabotage. Through a highly personalized, one-on-one approach, we uncover the unconscious patterns driving these behaviors, strengthen self-trust, and build the internal safety needed to create lasting change. This is not about fixing what’s “wrong” with you. It’s about helping you feel grounded, confident, and fulfilled in a life you’ve already worked hard to build, without burning out or betraying yourself along the way.

I’m Dr. Neil Darren Schwartz, a licensed psychologist specializing in trauma recovery and evidence-based therapy. My focus is to support individuals and couples in healing as they become aware of their inner strengths. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who have experienced trauma and suffer from addiction, anxiety, grief, or depression. I utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT), which include identifying and confronting negative thoughts, using guided imagery, visualization, and other coping and relaxation strategies. These techniques have proven incredibly effective in managing a multitude of issues. This is achieved by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and together customizing a treatment plan. The plan will utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, delivered through a client-centered approach, with the client’s needs and desired outcomes in mind. These methods are effective for people struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, anger, PTSD, self-image, and anyone seeking skills empowering you to live your best life.

My name is Amanda Chilleme, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, as well as a Master’s Certified Addiction Professional. For over 11 years, I have supported individuals in identifying what truly matters to them, navigating obstacles, and building a foundation for a more fulfilling future. My primary specialty is working with men and women struggling with substance use disorders as well as process and behavioral addictions, helping them find a pathway to a life that feels less burdened and more aligned. I also have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, grief and bereavement, trauma, attachment concerns, and personality disorders. As a clinician, I take a human-focused approach. I am not here to tell you what you need to work on—you already know the what. My role is to help you understand the why, and ultimately the how: how to shift it, heal it, overcome it, or, when appropriate, let it go altogether. Your first session is best described as a two-way interview. As I listen to your story and your narrative begins to take shape, we collaboratively determine two things: Whether I am the right therapist for you, and Whether this therapeutic relationship is the right fit for both of us. If we decide to move forward together, identifying your goals becomes your first assignment. This process allows me to better understand how you think, how you interpret challenges, and how barriers such as stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics show up for you. From there, we focus on one goal at a time. I see myself as your coach, teammate, and cheerleader! Whether you are just beginning therapy or have been on this journey for some time, I invite you to plant that seed—and see just how beautifully you grow.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—together, we’ll collaborate on an approach that best fits your goals and needs. What fuels my passion for this work is my own path of personal recovery. That experience allows me to bring not only clinical skill but also genuine empathy to the therapeutic relationship. I know what it feels like to want change but not know where to begin, and I honor the courage it takes to take that first step. If you are looking for a therapist who will support you with compassion, honesty, and effective tools, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing and transformation.

My approach is holistic and encompasses the whole person, addressing many dimensions of well-being, including biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual factors. I work with clients who have dual diagnoses, for example, a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder, or more than one mental illness, for example, bipolar disorder and PTSD. Many of the clients I work with do not meet criteria for PTSD, but have post-traumatic stress that is causing other conditions.

I provide compassionate, high-quality care grounded in respect, clinical knowledge, and a deep understanding of trauma. Many individuals face emotional challenges like anxiety, depression, or anger that interfere with daily functioning — often rooted in unresolved trauma or chronic stress. My goal is to support you or your loved ones in improving your quality of life and emotional well-being. I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy when appropriate. EMDR can be a powerful tool for healing PTSD and does not require ongoing therapy outside of EMDR sessions unless desired. I strive to make therapy approachable and comfortable, offering a calm, welcoming space where clients feel seen and supported. Whether you’re navigating life stressors, recovering from trauma, or just need someone to talk to — I’m here to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Florida. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
