About me

I believe that healing begins in a relationship where you feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where you can explore life's challenges with honesty and curiosity. My role is not to tell you who to be or what decisions to make. Instead, I serve as a compassionate guide, helping you better understand yourself, recognize patterns that may no longer serve you, and discover strengths you may not yet see in yourself. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I understand that our early experiences shape how we view ourselves, connect with others, and respond to life's challenges. Together, we'll explore those experiences with compassion, helping you rewrite unhelpful narratives and build healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and gentle honesty to each session, creating an environment where you can be your full, authentic self. While I offer support and validation, I also encourage reflection and meaningful action so that lasting change can take place. Whether you're navigating a major life transition, healing from past wounds, strengthening relationships, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am committed to walking alongside you every step of the way. My goal is to help you cultivate resilience, self-compassion, and confidence so you can create a life that feels aligned with your values and authentic sense of self. I believe therapy is not about fixing what is "wrong" with you—it's about uncovering your strengths, fostering emotional healing, and empowering you to move forward with greater clarity, purpose, and peace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions—curiosity, hope, nervousness, or uncertainty. Your first session is designed to help us get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. During our first session, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, mental and physical health, and any past counseling experiences to better understand your unique story. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions. You may want to know more about my approach, what therapy will look like, or how we can work together toward your goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your input is always valued. There is no pressure to share everything at once. You can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. By the end of our first session, we'll discuss your goals for therapy and begin creating a plan tailored to your needs. Together, we'll determine the best path forward and decide on next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida with over 15 years of experience, I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to every therapeutic relationship. I believe meaningful change begins in a space where you feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood. One of my greatest strengths is helping clients navigate life's most challenging transitions with clarity and confidence. Whether you're facing relationship difficulties, family conflict, workplace stress, identity changes, or questions about your next chapter, I provide practical tools and thoughtful guidance to help you move forward with intention. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and an understanding of how early life experiences shape our beliefs, emotional patterns, and relationships. Together, we'll explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you develop greater self-awareness, heal from past wounds, and create healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals through seasons of transformation. If you're struggling with self-esteem, feelings of isolation, shame, abandonment, or uncertainty about who you are becoming, I offer a supportive environment where healing and growth can unfold at a pace that feels right for you. Clients often appreciate my ability to balance empathy with accountability. I will meet you with compassion while also encouraging meaningful reflection, emotional growth, and practical change. My goal is not only to help you cope with life's challenges but to help you build resilience, strengthen your relationships, and cultivate greater self-confidence, self-compassion, and emotional well-being. Above all, I strive to create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where your experiences are honored, your strengths are recognized, and your unique journey is supported. Together, we'll work toward lasting change that aligns with your values, promotes authentic connection, and helps you live with greater purpose, peace, and fulfillment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to invest in their personal growth, even if they're unsure where to begin. They may feel overwhelmed by life's challenges, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from the person they want to be. While they may not have all the answers, they are open to exploring their experiences with curiosity, honesty, and a willingness to grow. I enjoy working with adults navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, family dynamics, workplace stress, and issues related to self-esteem, identity, and emotional well-being. Many of my clients are carrying the weight of past experiences that continue to influence how they see themselves and connect with others. Together, we work to understand those patterns, heal emotional wounds, and build healthier ways of coping and relating. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who are moving through transformative stages of life—whether adjusting to a new role, recovering from loss or disappointment, redefining their identity, or healing from feelings of shame, abandonment, or isolation. My clients often seek more than symptom relief; they want deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, greater confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you're willing to show up as you are and engage in the process, we'll work together to create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a compassionate, affirming space where you feel empowered to heal, grow, and build a life that reflects your values, strengths, and authentic self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the evidence-based approaches I incorporate to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our thoughts influence how we feel, and those feelings often shape the choices we make. When negative or unhelpful thinking patterns become automatic, they can contribute to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and difficulty managing stress. In therapy, I use CBT to help you identify these patterns, explore whether they are accurate or helpful, and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. Together, we'll examine the beliefs and assumptions that may be keeping you stuck and replace them with perspectives that support resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being. My approach to CBT is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences. Rather than simply focusing on symptoms, I integrate CBT with a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that many of our thought patterns are shaped by past experiences and relationships. This allows us to address not only what is happening in the present but also the deeper experiences that have influenced your beliefs about yourself and others. Throughout our work together, you'll learn practical skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, improve communication, solve problems effectively, and respond to life's challenges with greater flexibility and self-compassion. My goal is to equip you with tools you can continue using long after therapy ends, empowering you to create lasting, meaningful change in your daily life.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is an evidence-based treatment designed for young children, typically from birth through age six, who have experienced trauma, loss, attachment disruptions, or other significant life stressors. The goal of CPP is to strengthen the relationship between the child and their primary caregiver, recognizing that a secure, nurturing relationship is one of the most powerful tools for healing. In my practice, I use CPP to help caregivers better understand their child's behaviors, emotions, and needs through a trauma-informed and attachment-focused lens. Together, we explore how difficult experiences may be affecting your child's emotional development and the parent-child relationship, while building skills that foster safety, trust, and emotional connection. Sessions often include both the caregiver and child, using play, conversation, and developmentally appropriate activities to support communication and healing. As we work together, caregivers learn strategies to respond to their child's emotional needs with greater confidence, while children develop a stronger sense of security, emotional regulation, and resilience. My approach to CPP is compassionate, collaborative, and family-centered. I recognize that caregivers may also be carrying their own life experiences, which can influence parenting and relationships. By supporting both the child and caregiver, we work to strengthen the parent-child bond, promote healthy attachment, and create a foundation for long-term emotional well-being. Whether your family is navigating the effects of trauma, separation, grief, domestic violence, foster care or adoption transitions, or other early childhood challenges, CPP provides a supportive framework for healing together and fostering resilience for the future.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals recover from trauma and post-traumatic stress. Traumatic experiences can change the way we think about ourselves, others, and the world, often leading to beliefs rooted in fear, guilt, shame, self-blame, or helplessness. These beliefs can interfere with healing and make it difficult to move forward. In my practice, I use CPT to help clients identify and challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that developed after traumatic experiences. Together, we examine how trauma has influenced the way you interpret your experiences and work to replace self-defeating or distorted beliefs with more balanced, realistic, and compassionate perspectives. My approach to CPT is trauma-informed, collaborative, and paced according to your individual needs. I provide a safe, supportive environment where you can process difficult experiences without judgment while developing the skills needed to reduce emotional distress and regain a sense of control. Throughout treatment, you'll learn practical strategies to manage trauma-related symptoms, decrease avoidance, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen your ability to cope with life's challenges. As healing progresses, many clients experience greater self-confidence, healthier relationships, and an increased sense of safety and empowerment. My goal is to help you move beyond the impact of trauma so you can reconnect with your strengths, live more fully in the present, and create a future that reflects hope, resilience, and lasting well-being.

Couples Counseling

Every relationship experiences challenges, but those challenges can also become opportunities for growth, healing, and deeper connection. In couples counseling, I provide a safe, neutral, and supportive environment where both partners feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach is collaborative and focuses on helping couples identify patterns that contribute to conflict, disconnection, or misunderstandings. Together, we explore the underlying emotions, communication styles, family-of-origin influences, and relationship dynamics that may be affecting your connection. Rather than assigning blame, we work to understand each partner's perspective and create healthier ways of relating to one another. I integrate evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches to help couples improve communication, strengthen emotional intimacy, rebuild trust, and develop effective conflict-resolution skills. Whether you're navigating recurring disagreements, life transitions, parenting challenges, infidelity, intimacy concerns, or difficulties balancing work and family responsibilities, therapy provides a space to work toward shared goals with compassion and accountability. Throughout the counseling process, I help couples develop practical tools to communicate more openly, express needs effectively, and respond to one another with empathy and understanding. My goal is to help you move beyond reactive patterns and build a relationship grounded in mutual respect, emotional safety, and meaningful connection. Whether you are looking to strengthen an already healthy relationship, repair after a difficult season, or determine the best path forward together, I am committed to helping you create a stronger, more fulfilling partnership that reflects your shared values and long-term vision.

Family Therapy

Families are complex, and every member plays an important role in the overall health of the family system. Family therapy provides a supportive space where family members can strengthen communication, resolve conflict, deepen understanding, and work together toward healthier relationships. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I view challenges through a systemic lens, recognizing that individual struggles often impact the entire family. My role is to help family members understand one another's perspectives, identify patterns that contribute to conflict or disconnection, and develop more effective ways of communicating and supporting one another. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of each family. I create a safe, respectful environment where every voice is valued and where difficult conversations can take place with honesty, empathy, and compassion. Together, we'll explore family dynamics, roles, boundaries, and the experiences that have shaped your relationships while building healthier patterns for the future. Family therapy can be beneficial for families navigating life transitions, parenting challenges, blended family adjustments, communication difficulties, behavioral concerns, grief and loss, trauma, or ongoing conflict. Throughout the process, I help families strengthen problem-solving skills, improve emotional connection, and foster greater understanding and resilience. My goal is to help families build stronger, healthier relationships by creating an environment where trust can be restored, communication can improve, and each family member feels heard, supported, and empowered. Together, we'll work toward lasting changes that promote healing, connection, and emotional well-being for the entire family.
