Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in the state of Florida. I received my Master’s degree from Saint Leo University in 2020 but have been working in the community for (15) years. My goals is to help clients who struggle with managing their emotions and developing healthy coping strategies to challenge negative thinking and improving decision-making skills.
In the first session, clients will expect to focus on introductions and discuss what brought you to therapy at this time. This will allow me the opportunity to begin to get to know the client and formulate a plan for ongoing therapy sessions.
I believe that my greatest strength as a provider is the ability to listen and communicate with clients. The goal is to provide a safe space for clients to share with no judgement as well as providing empathy and compassion. Others have shared that I have a “calming spirit” which helps to create a space to openly share.
I love working with children and teenagers who may be struggling with managing their emotions related to trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, school-related issues, and/or interpersonal relationships. I enjoy working with adults and older adults, as well, to help improve stress management skills and working through life transitions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This approach is used to help clients who experience negative thinking that may lead to anxious or depressive symptoms. The goal is to help the challenge recognize how changing their thought patterns can improve how they feel and what they do.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
This approach is used to help clients address those challenging and/or traumatic events in their life (i.e. loss of a loved one, a pet, abuse/neglect, car accident, relocation, etc.). Sometimes we need support to get “unstuck” from those intrusive thoughts that come from the trauma we have experienced.
Couples Counseling
In couples counseling, it’s an opportunity for partners to learn communication skills and other strategies to improve their relationship dynamics.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
This approach provides different strategies (including radical acceptance, opposite action) to help clients manage strong emotions (i.e. anger, frustration, anxiety, sadness). The focus of this approach is to help the client improve their interpersonal relationships.
Trauma-Focused CBT
This approach is used to help clients process their past traumatic events using the PRACTICE curriculum where the client learns relaxation techniques, engage in emotion identification, challenge their negative thinking associated with the trauma, providing a foundation for the client to complete a trauma narrative to share with their parent/guardian, or other trusted adult. The parent/guardian is a crucial part of this approach as they will learn tools to support their child.
