About me

Hi, I'm Angelie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about helping people build resilience and create meaningful change in their lives. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma. depression, stress, and life transitions, using evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed therapy. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and move forward with greater confidence. I believe therapy should feel both encouraging and practical, helping you grow while honoring your unique experiences.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to make the first session feel comfortable and supportive. We'll talk about what brings you in, explore your goals, and discuss any challenges you're currently facing. I'll take time to understand your experiences while answering any questions you may have about the therapy process. By the end of the session, we'll have a clearer understanding of your needs and the direction you'd like to take moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy, meeting you where you are while helping you move toward your goals. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and actively involved in the process. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct, blending evidence-based techniques with practical tools you can use in everyday life. Together, we'll explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful change. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-esteem, or feelings of being overwhelmed. Some clients come to therapy with a clear goal in mind, while others may simply know that something needs to change but are unsure where to begin. I work best with clients who are open to self-exploration and willing to engage in the therapeutic process at their own pace. Whether they are seeking healing from past experiences, developing healthier coping skills, improving relationships, or building confidence and resilience, I strive to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to reach their goals.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors following traumatic experiences. In my practice, I use TF-CBT to help clients develop healthy coping skills, process traumatic events in a safe and supportive environment, and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to emotional distress. My goal is to help clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and regain a sense of safety and control.

Strength-Based

I believe every individual possesses unique strengths, abilities, and resources that can support healing and growth. Using a strengths-based approach, I help clients identify and build upon their existing skills, successes, and personal qualities rather than focusing solely on challenges or deficits. This approach empowers clients to increase self-confidence, recognize their resilience, and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy focuses on identifying practical solutions and building on what is already working in a client's life. In my practice, I help clients clarify their goals, recognize their strengths, and develop achievable steps toward positive change. Rather than spending extensive time analyzing problems, we focus on creating realistic strategies that support progress and help clients move forward with confidence.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals recover from trauma by identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs that may have developed as a result of difficult experiences. In my practice, I use CPT to help clients examine how trauma has influenced the way they think about themselves, others, and the world. Together, we work to reframe these beliefs, reduce feelings of guilt, shame, or self-blame, and develop healthier perspectives that support healing, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy helps clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations while learning to respond to them with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. In my practice, I incorporate mindfulness techniques such as grounding exercises, breathing strategies, and present-moment awareness to help clients manage stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma. By strengthening mindfulness skills, clients can improve emotional regulation, increase resilience, and feel more connected to themselves and their daily lives.
