As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience, I’ve worked with individuals and families in a wide range of settings—from hospitals and outpatient mental health clinics to schools and private practice. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that the clients I work best with—and who benefit most from our work together—are those who are ready for meaningful change, even if they aren’t quite sure where to start. If you're navigating anxiety that feels all-consuming, living with the emotional and physical toll of an eating disorder, or working through the lasting effects of trauma or loss. I also frequently work with clients experiencing mood disorders, ADHD, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), and those feeling overwhelmed by the emotional demands of caregiving or professional burnout—particularly within healthcare settings. I have a special passion for working with children and adolescents, their parents, and entire family systems. Many of my clients are seeking a safe, grounded, and skilled therapeutic relationship—someone who can hold space for their pain and complexity, while also offering clear, evidence-based strategies for growth. I integrate a broad range of approaches including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theory, and family systems work. Whether we’re exploring deep-rooted patterns, regulating intense emotions, or building coping skills for daily life, I tailor our work together to match your unique needs, pace, and goals. If you're looking for a therapist who brings warmth, deep clinical experience, and a collaborative spirit, I’d be honored to be part of your healing journey. Together, we’ll work to make sense of what’s been holding you back—and help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step—whether it’s your first time ever, or you’ve been through it before but are hoping this time will be different. My priority in our first session is to meet you exactly where you are—with openness, compassion, and without any judgment. This initial conversation is less about “fixing” anything right away and more about getting to know you as a person. I want to understand not just what’s going on right now, but also what’s brought you here—and what you're hoping might be different. We may come up with a few more simple ways to address immediate concerns in the short term if warranted until we are able to spend more time working together. Whether you're an adult coming in with anxiety that feels out of control, a teen who’s exhausted from trying to hold everything in, or a parent trying to support your child through behaviors you don't fully understand, we’ll go at your pace. You don’t need to know what to say or how to start—I’ll help guide the conversation in a way that feels natural and comfortable. Creating a Safe Space The very first thing we’ll focus on is building a sense of safety and trust. That means creating a space where you feel respected, heard, and emotionally safe—whether we’re meeting in person or virtually. I show up as a real person in the room: grounded, attentive, and present. Many of my clients say they appreciate how easy it is to talk to me, even when the topics are hard. Confidentiality, consent, and boundaries will be part of our conversation, especially if you’re new to therapy or coming in with past experiences that made it hard to feel safe. For children and adolescents, I always take time to clarify what therapy will look like for them, and also work closely with parents or caregivers to establish a shared understanding of how we’ll support their child together. Getting to Know You From there, I’ll gently gather information to get a more complete picture of your life. This may include your mental health history, your physical health, relationships, family background, work or school experiences, and what’s been going on emotionally. You’ll never be pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with, and there’s no “perfect” way to tell your story—we’ll take our time. If you’re coming in with a specific concern—like panic attacks, disordered eating, grief, trauma, or challenges with focus or emotional regulation—we’ll explore how those issues are showing up for you now, and how the

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked in just about every setting where people seek emotional support—hospitals, schools, mental health clinics, and private practice. What’s made each experience meaningful isn’t just the work I’ve done, but the people I’ve had the privilege of sitting with—children struggling to make sense of their feelings, adolescents overwhelmed by anxiety or self-doubt, adults carrying invisible wounds, and families trying to hold it all together. What makes me unique as a therapist is my ability to hold complexity without judgment. I understand that emotional pain doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it’s often tied to lived experience, family history, identity, and systems that haven’t always offered safety or support. Whether you come in feeling disconnected, confused, heartbroken, or simply exhausted, I offer a grounded presence, deep listening, and the kind of clinical insight that only comes from decades of walking alongside people in their hardest moments What I bring to therapy is the kind of depth that only comes with time, experience, and a lasting commitment to the work. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families across the lifespan. I’ve worked in hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, schools, and private practice, helping children, adolescents, adults, and healthcare professionals navigate some of life’s most painful and complex challenges. My clients include individuals from a wide range of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, each with unique challenges and strengths. Many of the people I work with are used to holding things together for others, even when they’re struggling silently themselves. Others are new to therapy and unsure where to begin. Whatever your starting point, I meet you with compassion, insight, and respect. A Thoughtful, Tailored Approach What makes my work effective—and different—is how deeply personalized it is.
