New to Grow
My passion as a Mental Health Counselor has been and continues to have the ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds as well as their families. Assisting my clients learn how to manage their stressors, gaining insight into their thoughts and behaviors and enhancing their emotions and bonds with their supportive networks. The majority of my experience has been focused on working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, Tourette/Tics anger, adjustment and women related issues. I use different approaches in therapy but have a strong background in CBT, CPT and somatic work. I have also received my training in CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics) I currently practice in Orlando, Florida but provide virtual as well.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a comfortable space for you to share. We will talk about what has brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you would like to work on. I will also explain how therapy works and discuss possible directions for treatment. You will have an active role in helping shape your treatment goals and the direction of therapy so it reflects your needs and priorities.
My approach is grounded in humanistic care, meaning therapy is guided by your experiences, needs, and goals. I view therapy as a collaborative process where I support you in your journey rather than directing it. I aim to create a warm and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, and I value open conversation and, when appropriate, the use of humor and lightness to make the process feel more natural and supportive. Comfort matters here, including the small details that help you feel at ease.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)
In CBT, we will work together to identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and understand how they influence one another. I will help you notice unhelpful or unbalanced thoughts and explore more realistic and helpful ways of thinking. We will also look at how these thought patterns affect your emotions and daily actions, and practice ways to respond differently. Over time, CBT can help you build skills to manage distress, improve coping, and make more intentional choices in challenging situations.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)
In CPT, we will focus on how trauma has affected your thoughts, beliefs, and understanding of yourself, others, and the world. I will help you identify “stuck points,” which are unhelpful beliefs that may have formed after the traumatic experience and continue to cause distress. We will gently examine and challenge these beliefs using structured exercises to develop more balanced and accurate perspectives. Over time, CPT can help reduce the emotional impact of trauma and support you in feeling safer and more in control of your life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In mindfulness-based therapy, we will focus on building awareness of your present-moment thoughts, feelings, and body sensations without judgment. I will guide you in practicing skills that help you notice experiences as they arise, rather than reacting automatically or getting overwhelmed by them. We will work on developing the ability to observe difficult thoughts and emotions with curiosity and acceptance instead of avoidance. Over time, this approach can support greater emotional regulation, stress reduction, and a stronger sense of calm and control.
Psychoeducation
In psychoeducation, we will focus on helping you understand how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences affect your mental health. I will provide clear information about what you are experiencing and why it may be happening in a way that is easy to understand. This can help you feel more informed and better equipped to manage challenges in your daily life.
