I’m Monica Guillén, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist providing telehealth therapy to adults in Washington and Florida. I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, and life transitions. Many clients seek therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or living in constant survival mode. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and culturally responsive. Therapy with me is supportive, structured, and paced to meet your needs. When appropriate, I use EMDR therapy to help process unresolved or distressing experiences so they no longer drive emotional reactions, anxiety, or self-doubt. I also integrate evidence-based tools to support nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and day-to-day coping. As a bilingual and bicultural therapist, I understand how culture, family roles, and systemic stressors impact mental health. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and respected without judgment. Therapy is not about fixing you—it is about helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I offer telehealth services to adults seeking trauma therapy, anxiety treatment, and support during major life changes. My goal is to help clients feel calmer, more grounded, and better equipped to navigate life with resilience, balance, and self-trust.

Hello. I am licensed marriage and family therapist and my clinical approach is cognitive-behavioral strength-based. I focus on helping people invalidate negative thoughts and become aware of their strengths. I do so in order to help them improve their confidence so that they can overcome challenges that they previously believed were impossible to triumph over. I also help people improve their boundaries to assist them with preventing others from negatively impacting their confidence and interfering with the development of their goals. With couples and families, I use an emotionally-focused approach that helps people become more comfortable with being vulnerable with people that are important to them. Becoming vulnerable helps people focus on discussing how they are impacted by others and what they need from them instead of blaming and criticism. Taking such a stance increases the chance that listeners will remain attentive instead of becoming defensive.

Starting therapy can feel empowering, confusing, or even intimidating—and it’s worth taking a moment to recognize the courage it takes to take this first step toward caring for your mental health. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where you can explore challenges related to anxiety, depression, self-care, and more. You’ll leave our sessions with practical insights and “next steps” you can put into action right away. I believe life’s purpose isn’t simply to be happy, but to find meaning—and within that meaning, joy emerges. While the journey isn’t always easy, it can be transformative. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Professional, Internationally Certified Drug Counselor, and Behavior Analyst. Hi, I'm Elizabeth Guinea, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 19 years of experience working with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Over the years, I've worked with people from many different worlds, facing different expectations and pressures. Beneath those differences, familiar patterns often emerge: beliefs, habits, and ways of relating that once served a purpose but now keeps you repeating the same problem, and situations. I focus on changing the pattern underneath the symptoms. One of my strengths is recognizing those patterns quickly and helping you do something about them. Together, we'll connect insight with practical changes that fit your life. My goal is simple: for you to leave each session better than when you walked in -with greater clarity, a useful skill, or a concrete next step. I offer in-person sessions in Tampa and online therapy throughout Florida.

My name is Carlos Izquierdo, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I work with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other difficulties that may leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I believe that many psychological struggles are not signs of something being “wrong” with us, but rather the result of patterns and strategies that may have once served a purpose but are no longer helping us move forward. Therapy can provide an opportunity to understand these patterns, develop new perspectives, and discover more effective ways of responding to life’s challenges. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where you can explore what is holding you back, recognize your strengths, and develop more flexible and creative ways of navigating difficult situations. I see challenges not simply as problems to eliminate, but as opportunities for greater self-understanding, personal growth, and meaningful change.

I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, understood, and accepted. Whether you are navigating emotional challenges, relationship or family conflict, questions surrounding gender identity or sexuality, attachment and codependency concerns, or the effects of trauma, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. As a therapist, I bring compassion, curiosity, authenticity, and an affirming approach to the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy should be collaborative and individualized, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone. I strive to meet you where you are, help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and empower you with tools to navigate emotions, establish healthy boundaries, and build more fulfilling relationships. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and diverse relationship structures navigating unhealthy or abusive relationship dynamics, attachment wounds, codependency, and unresolved trauma. I am particularly passionate about helping clients break unhealthy patterns, rebuild self-confidence, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. I also provide sex-positive, affirming care to sexually and relationally diverse populations, including polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, as well as individuals and relationships involved in kink, BDSM, and consensual power exchange (CPE). My therapy space welcomes individuals, relationships, and families of all backgrounds, identities, sexual orientations, races, and cultures. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. My hope is to help you heal from past hurts, navigate present challenges, reconnect with your strengths, and create a life that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

Together, we'll explore where those patterns began, strengthen your self-trust, and create lasting change rooted in emotional safety and self-respect. My approach integrates attachment-informed, trauma-focused, and evidence-based therapy with practical tools that support meaningful change beyond our sessions. I believe healing involves the whole person, recognizing the impact of relationships, trauma, nervous system regulation, physical health, and life transitions on emotional wellbeing. Dr. Kyana Hall-Toney, DMFT, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a compassionate, dedicated, and client-centered clinician who believes that every individual has a unique story, life experience, and purpose that contribute to who they are and who they aspire to become. Throughout her clinical career, Dr. Kyana has gained experience working with diverse populations, including individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, substance use disorders, and adolescents involved in diversion programs. She has also worked with families within Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment settings and has provided individual, couples, and family therapy in a private practice setting. Her clinical experience has allowed her to develop an understanding of the complex relationships between individual experiences, family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and environmental influences. Dr. Kyana’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Family Systems, Person-Centered, Narrative, and Solution-Focused therapies. She recognizes that our personal experiences, relationships, family histories, and life circumstances often influence the way we view ourselves, navigate relationships, and respond to challenges. Rather than defining individuals by their past experiences or present circumstances, she believes in recognizing their strengths, resilience, and capacity for change. Her approach to therapy emphasizes creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences. She collaborates with clients to identify their needs, establish meaningful goals, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and create positive changes. Dr. Kyana believes that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. Each person’s path to growth looks different, and therapy provides an opportunity to gain insight, rewrite personal narratives, strengthen connections, and discover new possibilities. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward healing, self-discovery, personal growth, and lasting success.

Being the one who holds everything together can be exhausting, especially when your own needs go unnoticed. Perhaps you hold yourself to impossible standards, constantly questioning whether you've done enough. Maybe you're easily irritated, quick to anger, or carrying resentment you don't fully understand. You might avoid conflict, struggle to say no, or feel responsible for keeping everyone else happy. Or perhaps your struggles are quieter, showing up as harsh self-criticism, shame, or a persistent feeling that you're somehow not good enough. My practice focuses on supporting women navigating these experiences and the emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, and disconnection from self that may accompany them. Sometimes, understanding how we feel today involves exploring the experiences and relationships that have shaped us. Difficult childhood experiences, emotional neglect, abuse, painful relationships, and ongoing stress can influence how we view ourselves, manage emotions, and connect with others. Through a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach, we can explore the patterns that may be contributing to your struggles while developing healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Together, we can work toward strengthening emotional awareness, establishing boundaries, building self-trust, and cultivating a more compassionate relationship with yourself. You deserve more than simply getting through each day. Therapy can be a space to begin moving beyond survival toward a life where you feel more grounded, connected, and able to thrive.

Maybe you’re the person everyone counts on, the one who handles things, keeps going, and appears to have it all together. But underneath that, you may be anxious, emotionally exhausted, constantly overthinking, or struggling in relationships. You may find yourself people-pleasing, feeling guilty for saying no, putting everyone else’s needs before your own, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up even when you know you want something different. I work with adults who want to understand where these patterns come from and begin changing them. Often, our work explores how family dynamics, childhood experiences, and past relationships have shaped the way you view yourself, manage emotions, set boundaries, and connect with others. This isn’t about blaming the past. It’s about understanding what you learned to do to cope or feel connected and deciding what still serves you today. For some clients, these patterns become even more noticeable after becoming a parent. Parenthood can bring up unexpected emotions about your own childhood, your relationship with your parents, and what you want to carry forward or intentionally do differently with your own family. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), and EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine, with a focus on helping you understand yourself more deeply, heal from experiences you may still be carrying, and create healthier patterns in your relationship with yourself and others.

We are all facing difficult challenges in this life and often we find ourselves unsure of where to turn or what to do. We can all too easily get stuck in a rut and can use a little nudge to get us out and moving again. I'm glad you have taken the first step in seeking help. Counseling can seem a daunting endeavor but it can also be very beneficial and rewarding as a means to better understanding of ourselves. My hope is that you will continue reading about me and be able to gain an understanding and a comfort in us partnering together on your journey. My name is Mike and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. Throughout my career, my goal has been to help others to better understand the difficulties they are facing and find a path to work through those challenges. I accomplish this goal by openly and without judgement, meeting the client where they are. My approach includes principles from multiple theorists, each having their own benefits dependent on the issues that are being faced. Our focus will be on the present, the here and now. When necessary as part of developing better understanding, we will look at past events and triggers for how they have informed the present, but we are in the present. We will work collaboratively to better understand current problems, we'll set realistic goals for progress and develop skills necessary to not only overcome current issues but face future concerns as well. My areas of practice include working with blended families, intimacy issues, infertility/adoption decisions, grief and loss, stages of life, as well as compassion fatigue/care giver issues along with anxiety, stress, and depression. You've taken the important first steps in this journey to a healthier you. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you but ultimately whether you choose to work with me or another counselor I hope you are able to gain a better understanding of yourself and create brighter future. Best wishes, Mike

Hi. My name is Beth Marsh and I am a licensed mental health counselor living in Florida. I have been practicing since 2000. My clients have been diverse and run the gamut in socio-economic status. I enjoy working with most people. My favorite clients are the ones who are ready for a change in their life…no matter how big or small. I enjoy couples counseling with traditional and non traditional couples. I have had a lot of success with clients with anxiety and depression. Sometimes life throws a lot our way and you need a safe place to think, regroup and make a new plan. I can help with that! Hi, my name is Lisa. When I was younger, I read The Making of a Psychiatrist by Dr. David Viscott. In the book, the doctor walked into his office to see a client taking books off the bookshelf and throwing them onto the floor. That is how I remember the book anyway. The doctor connected with that hurting person with such compassion and insight, and he allowed for vulnerability and healing. I wanted to connect like that with hurting people and help them in their struggles. I didn't become a psychiatrist, but I did find purpose in helping others walk through difficult life journeys. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I worked for over 30 years in hospice in the bereavement department, supporting those experiencing grief, anticipatory grief, caregiver stress, and life transitions. We also dealt with anxiety, depression, and other life struggles that came up along the way. I am passionate about helping clients navigate life's most challenging moments. I will provide a safe and supportive environment where you can process emotions, build resilience, and discover coping strategies. Life sometimes gets messy, and you may feel isolated and overwhelmed. You don't have to face this alone. I have journeyed with hospice patients and their families for 32 years, and I would be honored to journey with you.

I believe therapy is less about having all the answers and more about having a place where you can be honest about what’s really going on. Life can be complicated, and sometimes we just need someone who will listen without judgment, help us make sense of things, and walk alongside us as we figure out what comes next. My practice is grounded in connection, curiosity, and creating a space where you can show up as yourself. You don’t have to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are and take it from there. I’m interested in the whole person—not just the problem that brings you in. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, patterns, and beliefs that may be shaping how you see yourself and navigate the world. I also believe therapy should be useful outside the room, so our work can include practical tools and new ways of approaching the things that matter most to you. I don’t believe growth means becoming a different person. To me, it’s often about becoming more connected to who you already are—understanding yourself more deeply, trusting your voice, setting boundaries, and making choices that feel true to you. My hope is that our work feels like a genuine partnership: a place where you feel seen, understood, and supported while creating meaningful change in your life.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, National Certified Counselor, and Ph.D. candidate in Counseling with a specialization in Family and Couple Therapy, I bring a compassionate, integrative, and culturally attuned approach to therapy. I view mental health as more than the absence of illness—it is a state of well-being where individuals can access their inner resources to manage life’s challenges and thrive. In my PhD-level clinical work, I use Bowen Family Systems Therapy as a diagnostic and relational framework, while integrating trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and attachment-based approaches to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family. This multidimensional approach allows me to support healing from childhood trauma, strengthen marital and relational dynamics, and empower families navigating complex life transitions. With a background in Social Sciences and a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling, I combine academic rigor with practical experience. I have developed strong clinical skills in assessment, multicultural counseling, and individualized intervention planning. Rooted in a strengths-based philosophy, I believe every client has inherent value and potential. My role as a therapist is to help clients tap into that strength with empathy, professionalism, and purpose.

I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York, with Caribbean roots, and have called Central Florida home for several years. I’ve been working as a therapist for over seven years, with experience across different areas of social work and mental health. My background includes inpatient psychiatry, forensic social work, hospital-based medical social work, and child welfare. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life, including those navigating mood disorders, personality disorders, emotional challenges, and difficult life circumstances. As a Black female therapist, I understand how meaningful it can be to feel represented and connected with someone who may relate to certain cultural experiences or understand the different environments that shape who we are. Everyone’s story is different, but I value creating a space where clients feel comfortable showing up as themselves.

Hi there, I'm Renita. I'm happy that you have landed here in search of doing some very important work to improve your life! Mental health plays such an important role in how we advocate, manage and show up for ourselves and the way we navigate our world. I help support individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed by constantly trying to balance and grab a hold of the many responsibilities of their day to day that impacts their relationships, work and/or health. With so many responsibilities to manage, I know it can be hard to prioritize the (much needed) time to incorporate self care and engage in hobbies that you once enjoyed. I am skilled in exploring and strategizing with those looking to be held accountable for positive lifestyle changes by using their strengths to encourage growth. I help individuals and couples learn effective strategies to combat anxiety, depression, extreme stress and communication difficulties. Together, we can identify your strengths and challenges and utilize both to work towards bringing balance into your life. We'll use a person centered approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit while taking into account your current environment and life experiences both past and present. Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to work with you throughout the journey to empower you and equip you with useful tools and resources. Seeking therapy may seem scary if you dont know what to expect but you're making the right choice. In each of our sessions, you will have an opportunity to feel seen and heard allowing you to process your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgemental atmosphere to promote healing and growth at a pace that works for you. Let's work together!

I stay up to date on all the most effective training and information and aim to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment by meeting each individual where they are in their struggles and development. This process helps one discover the inherent strengths that allow change to happen ensuring best therapeutic results.

I believe good therapy should be both meaningful and practical. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic approaches, but I don't believe therapy should feel like a one-size-fits-all formula. And yes, I believe there is room for humor in therapy. Logic, compassion, curiosity, and a healthy dose of humor are some of the tools I bring.

Many people come to therapy wanting not only relief from symptoms, but a deeper understanding of themselves. I specialize in Jungian depth therapy for individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected and want more than symptom management. I prioritize building a deeply attuned and trusting therapeutic relationship where we can explore stressors, uncover unconscious patterns, and work through the inner conflicts that keep you from moving forward. I have over 45 years of experience as a practicing psychologist. My orientation is a strength based, solution focused cognitive behavioral therapy approach. Following a thorough assessment, my goal in our initial work together. is to identify in partnership with you an in-depth understanding of the issues that lead you to contact me. and to gain an understanding of how you have attempted to resolve these issues to date. In addition, we will ascertain what you see as your applicable strengths and abilities in prior comparable life situations. By the end of session one, our goal is to be able to agree on what solutions will look like for the issues that have led you to seek therapy. and to have a game plan as to how we will initially proceed. While I have worked with a wide range of clients over the years, the vast majority have had success in the various key areas (relationism, employment, family, peers, etc.) and they are now dealing with issues/problems / a crossroads, etc. where they are looking for some assistance as they navigate these current challenges

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I honor the courage it takes to begin this process. If we work together, you can expect a therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and respect. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are—no masks, no pressure—and begin to explore what healing and growth look like for you. My approach is thoughtful and tailored. I draw from evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy, adapting each session to meet your needs and goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I help you make sense of your experiences, strengthen emotional awareness, and find new ways to move forward. I believe therapy should not just be about coping—it should be about transformation. That might mean learning how to quiet an inner critic, setting healthier boundaries, deepening relationships, or reconnecting with your sense of purpose. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, and I will walk beside you each step of the way with compassion, curiosity, and care. If you are looking for a therapist who listens deeply, challenges gently, and is committed to helping you build a more grounded and empowered version of your life, I would be honored to work with you.

Thank you for taking time to learn a little about me. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional with over 28 years of counseling experience in clinical, private and educational settings. I practice Client-centered therapy. For those who are unfamiliar with Client-centered therapy it is based on the practice that the CLIENT is best able to decide what to explore and mark as a goal of treatment. I empower all my clients without compromising empathy. Whatever the reason any individual, couple, or family comes to me, I challenge their skillset to solve problems and restore resolve; not simply provide short-term solutions. The first step to achieve this is to build a rapport with essential empathy and unconditional positive regard. I believe in relationships. Seems a little elementary but one's physical, mental, and overall wellness is dependent on relations that we have with each other. No matter how large or small one's family is, and/or social circle we were all meant to establish and grow relationships. No level of true self-reflection would escape this fact. I witnessed this to be true in all of my clients as with myself. I currently reside Central Florida with my wife, son, and three daughters. As a family we enjoy an active lifestyle supportive of one another and the family dynamic. I welcome the opportunity to work with you, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
