Hello I am a fully Licensed Board-Certified Therapist. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, from Simmons University and earned my Doctorate Degree (PhD) from The University of Miami. I have experience in all types of counseling topics, medical social work, family counseling, Military life, couple/relationship therapy, & individual counseling. I work with individuals of all ages including children and teens who are moving through life transitions, relationship struggles, identity questions, or difficulties with self-worth and self-trust, Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety and Panic Attacks with or w/o Agoraphobia. I support children and teens as they work towards greater mental well-being. We will work together as a team to build coping strategies and set treatment goals. Together, we create space to better understand the patterns, experiences, and emotions shaping your life, while helping you reconnect with a more grounded, authentic version of yourself. I am a trauma-informed therapist and founder of Mental Health Rescue, where I support individuals and couples in deep, integrative healing that connects mind, body, and lived experience. My work is rooted in both clinical training and lived experience, I’ve been drawn to understanding people and emotional depth for as long as I can remember, and I bring that lifelong curiosity into the therapy space. I am deeply committed to helping individuals and families achieve emotional well-being, stability, and growth. If you choose to work with me as your therapist, I will always make scheduling your appointments quick and easy, be available through message chat in between sessions and be reliable and attentive to your needs for help right away. I am very reliable and engaged in helping you.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In therapy when working with me, I also incorporate occasional feedback forms throughout our work to ensure I’m aligned with your goals and that you’re experiencing meaningful progress. My priority in our first session is to create a sense of comfort and safety as we begin our work together. We’ll review the confidentiality agreement so you can feel confident that your privacy is respected and protected. Depending on your comfort level, we might explore your intake paperwork, talk about what brought you to therapy, or simply start with where you’re from and some of the key milestones in your life so far. I’ll always aim to tailor the session to your preferences and pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I bring a warm, disarming presence and welcome space for humor and levity in our work together. I’m committed to continually growing in my craft and draw from different approaches toward your healing. If you’re looking to learn new tools to navigate current challenges, I’m happy to share and practice those with you. If you’re seeking something deeper and more transformational, I’m here to support that journey as well. Our sessions are a shared space, where your voice and presence matter just as much as mine. I also incorporate occasional feedback forms throughout our work to ensure I’m aligned with your goals and that you’re experiencing meaningful progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Somatic, body-based therapy and nervous system regulation to heal emotional blocks held in the body, freeing clients from the past so they can create the life they want. Build self-worth, develop a supportive inner voice, and create fulfilling relationships and meaningful careers. I help clients build on their strengths rather than focusing solely on their struggles. Positive Psychology is the scientific study of well-being, resilience, meaning, and human flourishing. In my practice, I use techniques to help clients develop self-worth, cultivate a supportive inner voice, increase optimism, identify their core strengths, Over time, this process supports the rewriting of neural pathways in the brain, making it possible to move out of survival-based patterns and into more coherent, self-directed ways of being. Somatic I use somatic, body-based therapy & nervous system regulation to heal emotional blocks held in the body, freeing clients from the past so they can create the life they want. My goal is to help clients build self-worth, develop a supportive inner voice, & create fulfilling relationships & meaningful careers. Mindfulness-Based Therapy I am a Certified mindfulness & meditation therapist. In my practice, I use mindfulness-based techniques to help clients develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, & physical sensations without judgment. This approach helps clients reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, & cultivate a deeper sense of presence, self-compassion, & well-being. Trauma Informed Care I have worked extensively with men & women who have experienced sexual trauma, infidelity, relationship wounds, & chronic stress. Trauma can become wired into both our biology and our identity, shaping how we think, feel, and respond long after the original experience has passed. In our work, we focus on developing awareness of these patterns, learning to regulate the nervous system, & healing emotional wounds held in the body.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Supporting clients with OCD and anxiety by gradually facing fears, reducing compulsions, increasing tolerance for uncertainty, and building long-term emotional freedom.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Teaching mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to help clients navigate intense emotions and relationships.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Helping clients slow down, regulate emotions, and reconnect to the present moment through grounding, awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion practices.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I work from a client centered orientation that focuses heavily on the correlation between thoughts, behaviors, and feelings using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We will spend time in each session identifying and relating your experiences related towards the presenting issues, highlighting the interrelationship of thought, feeling, and behavior. Alongside CBT and client centered modalities, I often will use an integrative approach that is strength based, while we explore any given person's strength, I will try to begin integrating various interventions to help resolve the reasons that bring you to treatment.
