New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of mental health and life challenges. I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and major life transitions. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered, with a strong focus on helping individuals build practical coping skills, improve functioning, and develop greater self-awareness. I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to work toward meaningful, sustainable change aligned with their personal goals and values.
In our first session, I focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant background information, and your goals for treatment. I also review confidentiality and answer any questions you may have about the therapy process. The first session is a collaborative conversation where you can share at your own pace in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Together, we will begin identifying initial goals and discussing a plan for how we can work toward meaningful progress in future sessions.
My greatest strengths are my ability to build strong therapeutic rapport, create a safe and supportive environment, and tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach that integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and skills-based interventions to support meaningful and practical change. I am especially effective at helping clients who feel overwhelmed or stuck gain clarity, develop coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation and communication. I also have experience working with children and families, supporting behavior change at home and school, and helping caregivers strengthen their connection with their child. My focus is on helping clients make realistic, sustainable progress aligned with their goals and values.
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I am especially well-positioned to support clients who are motivated to improve their functioning but may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to begin making changes. I work best with individuals and families who are open to developing insight, learning practical coping skills, and actively engaging in the therapeutic process. Many of my clients are seeking support with emotional regulation, communication skills, behavioral management, and building healthier relationships at home, school, or work. I also support caregivers who want guidance in strengthening their connection with their child and creating more structure and consistency in the home environment. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and supportive, with a focus on helping clients feel understood while also working toward meaningful, realistic goals.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a client-centered approach to help individuals explore ambivalence, build motivation for change, and increase confidence in reaching their goals. I have experience using MI with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. In my practice, I use techniques such as reflective listening, open-ended questions, affirmations, and collaborative goal setting to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. I often integrate MI with CBT and strengths-based approaches to help clients increase insight, improve coping skills, and make meaningful, lasting changes aligned with their values and goals.
Child Parent Psychotherapy
I use Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to support young children and caregivers in strengthening attachment, improving emotional regulation, and addressing the impact of trauma, behavioral concerns, and family stressors. In my practice, I work collaboratively with both the child and caregiver to build safety, improve communication, and support healthy parent-child interactions through play, emotional processing, and developmentally appropriate interventions.
Christian Counseling
I provide Christian counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. In my practice, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with Christian values, prayer, scripture, and faith-based support when appropriate and aligned with the client’s preferences. I use this approach to help clients navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth while supporting emotional and spiritual well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to emotional distress or daily challenges. In my practice, I use CBT with children, adolescents, and adults to address concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, stress, behavioral issues, and life transitions by teaching coping skills, problem-solving strategies, emotional regulation, and healthier thinking patterns.
Couples Counseling
I use couples counseling to help partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. In my practice, I support couples in identifying unhelpful interaction patterns, increasing understanding of each other’s perspectives, and developing healthier ways to communicate and problem-solve. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT and communication skills training to help couples build trust, improve emotional regulation during conflict, and work toward shared relationship goals.
