I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a youth village for at-risk teens, home health care agencies, hospitals, hospices, foster care, and schools. I provided social services support and therapy to the senior population, children and families, and individuals struggling with addiction and trauma. I am also a LCSW qualified supervisor.
My goal is to provide a safe space where one feels truly heard, validated, and challenged to make positive changes in their lives and relationships. In the first session I will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges and reasons for treatment. This will help me set a collaborative plan that is evolving and will empower to meet their goals and find inner strength and hope.
As a solution-focused therapist, cognitive behavioral therapist, and a grief specialist I aim to help uncover true potential, help identify the root cause of your challenges and create a tailored plan that leads to to a progress and a life that is worth celebrating.
The clients that I work with are usually children and teens that have anxiety, depression, ADHD, or struggling with trauma. I also work with the senior population as well and specialize in grief and end of life issues.
Assist the parent with tools and psychoeducation. Use a one-way mirror to observe as the parents play with their children, using the skills and techniques they were taught.
Working on solutions rather than discussing concerns. By identifying resources, strengths, and exceptions I work together with the client to make a desired future. Work on the here and now.
