New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Hypnotherapist, but more than that, I’m someone who knows what it’s like to feel stuck in the same patterns over and over. Maybe it’s addiction, people-pleasing, self-doubt, or relationships that leave you feeling like you’re not enough. I’ve been there. I work with people who are in recovery or trying to stay on the path. People who look like they have it all together on the outside but feel like they’re barely holding it together inside. My approach is real, direct, and supportive. Together, we’ll get to the root of what keeps pulling you back and start building the version of you that feels strong, grounded, and fully alive.
In our first session, my focus is on creating a supportive space where you feel respected, heard, and not judged. I’ll ask questions to better understand your history, current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of this work. We’ll begin identifying patterns, clarify what’s most important to focus on, and start building a strong foundation for our work together. I’ll also explain my approach and answer any questions you may have. From there, we’ll collaborate on a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals, so you know what to expect and how we’ll move forward.
One of my greatest strengths is helping clients identify and understand the patterns that have shaped their lives. These patterns often show up in relationships, choices, and how they approach recovery. I ask direct, thoughtful questions with care and honesty. My clients often tell me that these conversations help them connect the dots in ways they never have before. Sometimes that looks like going back to a relationship that feels familiar even when you know it's not good for you. It can also show up as reaching for something to numb the moment emotions feel too big or getting stuck in cycles of indecision because you’re afraid of making the wrong move. Once we name these patterns, we can begin shifting them into something more aligned with who you want to become. With training in both traditional therapy and clinical hypnotherapy, and years of experience in trauma and addiction recovery, I guide clients toward healing that goes deeper than just coping.
You might feel like you’ve tried everything. Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, read the books, listened to the podcasts, and still find yourself stuck in the same cycles. You second-guess yourself, say yes when you want to say no, or end up in relationships that leave you feeling small or unseen. You might be in recovery or working hard to break old habits, but something deeper keeps pulling you back. I help people who are tired of carrying these patterns alone. Together, we look beneath the surface to understand what’s really driving your behaviors. We explore the beliefs, unmet needs, and emotional wounds that shaped your self-worth and relationships. This is a space where you don’t have to explain or justify how heavy things feel. I will meet you there, with honesty, compassion, and curiosity. If you're ready to stop surviving and start living with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust, you're in the right place.
I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We work on identifying the patterns that fuel self-doubt, people-pleasing, or fear of rejection. By shifting these thought patterns, clients begin to feel more in control, more confident, and more able to respond to life in healthier ways.
I use MI to help clients explore what they truly want for themselves, especially when they feel stuck or unsure. This approach supports you in moving through indecision, reconnecting with your values, and building motivation to take real steps toward the life you want to live.
While I do not offer formal hypnotherapy within standard therapy sessions, my training allows me to help clients better understand the role of the subconscious mind in their healing. Many patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses are shaped by experiences we may not consciously remember or fully understand. I use this knowledge to guide clients in recognizing deeper blocks, internal conflicts, and the emotional roots of their current struggles. This helps us move beyond surface-level coping and create lasting, meaningful change.
I help clients understand that trauma is not just about what happened to them, but also about what didn’t happen for them, the support, safety, or love they needed but never received. When those needs go unmet, we often create stories about who we are and what we deserve. These stories can continue to shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. In our work together, I use a compassionate, paced approach to help you recognize these patterns without retraumatizing yourself. From there, we begin to rebuild a sense of safety, choice, and self-trust.
I use a psychodynamic approach to explore how early relationships and family dynamics continue to influence how clients feel, think, and relate in their current lives. This process helps uncover the beliefs and emotional patterns formed in childhood that often lead to self-sabotage, emotional disconnection, or repeated struggles in relationships. As we bring these patterns to light, healing becomes possible and new ways of relating can begin.
