My name is Stephanie Garza and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Texas. I am newly licensed but have experience in working with patients with depression, anxiety and other intense psychiatric ailments including suicidal ideation. Currently, my role focuses on providing support, counseling, and advocacy for patients with chronic kidney disease and who are undergoing dialysis treatments.
In our first session together, I typically focus on getting to know you, develop an understanding of your current situation, and begin to build a supportive relationship.
I truly listen to my clients, striving to understand their experiences and emotions without judgment. My ability to empathize with their struggles allows me to connect deeply, making it easier for clients to open up and feel heard and supported. I maintain a safe space where clients feel comfortable sharing even their most difficult or vulnerable thoughts. I believe that everyone’s situation is unique, and I approach each client with understanding and respect, focusing on their personal strengths and needs.
Using this treatment approach, I will be able to help you reshape distorted thinking patterns through structured, goal oriented interventions.
