Hello, I'm Jane originally born and raised in N.J. and living in Florida since 2017. I've been practicing mental health therapy for 40+ years in the field and in private practice. I enjoy working with clients and helping them through the therapy process and achieve their goals. Originally, I was planning on becoming an anthropologist and studying with Dr. Margaret Mead, however, my career plans changed when I realized that my own family had difficulties in communicating with each other. I wanted to study and help other families learn to talk to one another. From seeing families, this turned into seeing children-teens, couples, and adults. I find it very rewarding to help clients through a difficult time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will review the forms that were sent to you, and I can answer any questions or concerns that you may have. Basically, we will complete an intake together with me asking questions as to what is bringing you to therapy and discuss your treatment plan and goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

First of all, I practice active listening skills, and clear boundary setting, but will ask questions and challenge you at different times. I've encountered many clients during my lifetime, and not one modality of therapy fits one person. I focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), reframing negative thoughts into positive ones; play therapy with children such as coloring, and game playing. Insight-Oriented Therapy, Mindfulness and Family Systems. I work with clients who have anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and use a method called Trauma Informed Care (TIC). The core principles are Safety, Trustworthiness & Transparency, Peer Support, Collaboration, Empowerment, Voice & Choice by strengthening a person's resilience, self-advocacy, and control over their own treatment. I'm very much interested in working with you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client would be someone who is interested in doing the work for the upmost healing. This client understands that therapy could very well help them to have a better way of life than what they are experiencing right now. Clients come into therapy at different times during their life cycle, and perhaps they didn't receive the tools from a previous therapist that they would gain now. I can meet the client wherever they are in their emotional pain.
