I am a warm, compassionate, and approachable therapist who believes that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and emotional challenges. My approach is collaborative and individualized, combining evidence-based techniques with genuine connection.

I meet clients where they are while balancing compassion with practical guidance and gentle challenges when needed.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and develop skills to feel more confident and empowered.

First session

I hope clients leave their first session feeling heard, understood, and more comfortable taking the next step in their therapeutic journey. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I prioritize building trust, creating a safe space, and getting to know each client's unique experiences, needs, and goals. Clients can expect a collaborative and supportive approach, without pressure to have everything figured out. With individuals, I focus on their personal goals and coping skills. With children and families, I incorporate age-appropriate approaches and emphasize communication, connection, and caregiver support. My goal is for every client to feel hopeful, empowered, and confident that we can work together toward meaningful change.

Strengths

I bring empathy, patience, authenticity, and a relational approach to my sessions. I meet clients where they are while balancing compassion with practical guidance and gentle challenges when needed. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I tailor my approach to each individual, using evidence-based techniques while recognizing that meaningful change begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, difficult life experiences, or challenges with self-esteem and emotional regulation. They may be navigating life transitions, struggling to understand their emotions, or working to build healthier relationships with themselves and others. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to exploring their experiences, developing new coping skills, and making meaningful changes at their own pace. Whether clients are just beginning their therapeutic journey or have been in therapy before, I strive to create a supportive space where they feel comfortable, understood, and empowered to grow.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, or emotional challenges and work toward developing healthier ways of thinking and responding. I incorporate practical strategies, coping skills, and individualized exercises that clients can use in their daily lives. My approach is collaborative and supportive, helping clients build self-awareness, confidence, and a greater sense of control while moving toward their personal goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in the present moment without judgment. Through practices such as grounding exercises, mindful breathing, and increasing awareness of emotional responses, clients can learn to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and feel more connected to themselves. I tailor these techniques to each client's needs and comfort level, helping them develop practical skills to navigate difficult emotions, improve emotional regulation, and approach life's challenges with greater calm and self-compassion.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their feelings about change, identify what matters most to them, and build confidence in their ability to move forward. Rather than telling clients what they should do, I create a supportive space where they can explore their own motivations, strengths, and goals. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and encouragement, I help clients work through uncertainty and recognize their potential for growth. My goal is to empower clients to make meaningful changes at their own pace while feeling supported and understood.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help children and adolescents process difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate way. I focus on building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and helping clients understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. When appropriate, I involve non-offending caregivers to strengthen support, communication, and understanding. My approach is paced according to each client's needs, prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment while helping clients build resilience and move toward healing.

Trauma-Informed Care

I incorporate trauma-informed care into my practice by prioritizing each client's sense of safety, trust, and control throughout the therapeutic process. I recognize that difficult experiences can impact how individuals view themselves, others, and the world around them. I work to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel respected and empowered to share at their own pace. I avoid pressuring clients to discuss painful experiences before they feel ready and remain mindful of potential triggers and emotional responses. By emphasizing collaboration, choice, and emotional safety, I strive to minimize the risk of re-traumatization while supporting healing, resilience, and personal growth.
