Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Texas. I received my Masters from the University of Texas Pan American and have been practicing for 12 years. I help adolescents youth struggling with personal issues, navigating through major life changes, self esteem, depression, anxiety, school issues, grief and loss. My goal as a therapist is to help adolescents become stronger emotionally and mentally while also becoming the best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with adolescents for the past 11 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with teens who are great kids, but are struggling with how to process difficult life changes in their life, struggle with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, or grief and loss. My clients are eager to get better and understand themselves more, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about the changes that come with life that may difficult for teens to understand or navigate. Often times they don't know where to turn or who they can talk to.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have seen positive results utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients. It helps my clients to gain awareness and identify their thoughts, emotions, that lead to certain behaviors. I utilize CBT Triangle, psychoeducation, and handouts with my clients to explore together their presenting problem or concern they are wanting to address in therapy.

Grief Therapy

Grief is a natural experience for persons to experience. Grief is difficult to navigate. I like to provide my clients with information on the 5 stages of Grief by Kubler-Ross. I work with my clients to navigate through their emotions, normalizing what they are feeling, and finding positive ways to overcome the hurt that is associated with loss while also keeping the memory of their loved one alive. Overall, I have had positive outcomes with the clients I helped utilizing grief therapy.
