At Family Life Counseling we have an extensive background and experience in working with Couples, Families, and Individuals. Our Therapists offer a down to earth and practical approach to our clients by understanding the challenges it takes to make a relationship work. We work within the strengths of our clients to help develop skills and insight which can lead to a more fulfilled life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

At Family Life Counseling we understand that sometimes our journey's can come with some unexpected hardships, struggles, and confusion. We offer our clients and families an empathic non-judgmental approach through counseling that can help them begin the process of living a more emotionally fulfilled life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work with Couples to help them to better understand each other and communicate their wants and needs. We facilitate the understanding of each others shared narrative about the relationship, lets face it, often times it is not just what is happening in the relationship that is the problem but the story we tell ourselves about it every day.

My treatment methods

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally focused therapy and emotion-focused therapy are a set of related approaches to psychotherapy with individuals, couples, or families.

Gottman method

The goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

It's a common treatment for a range of mental health problems. CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
