Licensed to practice in Texas and accepts 10 insurances. Specializes in Anxiety, Self Esteem, Grief
New to Grow
I am licensed in Louisiana and Texas with over15 years of professional counseling experience. Over those years I have gained experience in counseling adult students, student veterans, and clients from all walks of life. The therapeutic areas of competence are Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and psycho-educational approaches. Areas of counseling I'm most competent are anxiety, grief and/or loss, career difficulties and helping clients navigate significant life changes. I provide a safe and nurturing environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am excited to support you in that process. In my spare time, I enjoy sewing, reading, spending time with family and friends, traveling with my husband and friends.
During our first session together, I focus completely on listening to your "why" and "what." We will explore what brings you to therapy and what goals you hope to achieve. I will also explain how the process works and encourage you to ask any questions on your mind. My deepest hope is that you will leave feeling safe, heard, and at ease about taking the next steps.
Welcome to a safe, inviting, and calm space where you will never face judgment. In my practice, you drive the session. I am here to give you the time and room to express your truth, while also challenging the thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you. My life has been shaped by profound chapters: the devastating losses of my mother, sister, and brother, alongside the pure joy of raising children and the unexplainable happiness of being a grandmother. I have failed, gotten back up, and developed a deep belief in the resilience of the underdog. Together, we will honor your journey and find your strength to try again.
I specialize in helping adults aged 30 to 40 who feel "stuck" in their careers, relationships, or both. My typical client is caught in a cycle of overthinking, paralyzed by the fear of making the wrong choice. Instead of actively shaping their lives, they find themselves passively going along with circumstances that don't satisfy them. This pattern of analysis paralysis often spills into every area of their life, including their health, finances, and personal goals.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in a session centers on building practical future goals and using personal strengths rather than digging deep into past problems. The therapist guides the talk using specific, positive questions to help you spot what already works in your life
