Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and doctor of social work with over 5 years of experience in the mental health field across a variety of settings, including primary care and psychiatric hospitals. I work with adults and teens navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, parenting stress, work-life balance, and the impact of past experiences.
I value creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. My approach blends insight-oriented therapy with practical skill-building to help clients feel more grounded, connected, and confident in managing life’s challenges. I also bring humor into sessions when appropriate, as a way to support comfort, connection, and perspective during difficult work.
I am a somatic therapist, not just a talk therapist. I work in the body. I help adults reduce overwhelm, build practical tools, and create real, lasting change in daily life. My work integrates structured, evidence based approaches with a nervous system focused approach that supports regulation, recovery, and clarity.
I focus on you as a person, not a diagnosis, and tailor the work to how you function best.
Telehealth available. ESA assessments: $250.

I respect my client's opinions on their treatment and work closely with them in treatment planning. I love it when clients share resources with me that have helped them outside of sessions, whether that be podcasts, books, etc. I work to incorporate these things into treatment. I'm very skilled at meeting a client where he or she is at, and I have a talent for coaching clients through the difficult parts of treatment to continue making progress and not become "stuck."

Let me guess: You've been thinking about therapy for a while now. Maybe months, maybe years, but something kept stopping you. Too busy, too expensive, "it's not that bad yet," or maybe just the fear of opening up to a stranger who might judge you or not really get it.
Here's what I want you to know: You don't need to wait until things get worse, you don't need permission to ask for help, and you don't have to figure this out alone. That's why I'm here.
As a board-certified bilingual therapist, veteran, and founder of Time to Talk Therapy, I've spent over 10 years supporting thousands of clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions that once felt impossible, from crisis units and corrections facilities to refugee shelters and quiet therapy rooms, working with chronic mental illness, personality disorders, abuse, trauma, ADHD, OCD, addictions, and some of the hardest moments of their lives. Here's what I know for sure: healing doesn't require perfection, it requires honesty and someone who actually gets it. You're not broken, you're dealing with hard things, and you deserve help that feels supportive, not cold, not judgmental, not like one more thing you're supposed to "fix" about yourself.
🔺If you can’t find a time on my calendar, message me. I’ll move things around, lose a lunch break, get creative. You showing up here already tells me everything I need to know about you.

Hello, I am Dr. Walter Calvo and I have two questions for you.
Are you interested in learning why you think and feel the way you do?
How about learning why you choose to do the things that you do?
I can help you learn coping skills to address common life challenges such as adjusting to change, managing conflict, reducing stress, improving relationships, and coping with grief. Equally important, I can help you process your emotional responses to distressing life circumstances.
I also provide psychotherapy to address acute trauma, post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. My experience in this area comes from working with active-duty military, veterans, and first responders such as law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical responders and their families.
Gaining insight into why you think and feel the way you do is empowering. It will put you on a path to becoming the best version of yourself.
If you are interested in any of that, let's talk!
Welcome! I'm Melissa =)
Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time.

Counseling can foster personal development in whatever way you may be seeking and help build the life you so deeply deserve. I feel honored to hold and support this space with you.

Hi there! My name is Brooke Elliott and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Since 2018, I’ve worked in various mental health settings helping my community connect with resources that build self-esteem. I have been practicing as an individual therapist since 2021. Growing up with undiagnosed neurodivergence, shame and struggle marked my everyday interactions with my family and the world around me, as well as my view of who I was as a person. I learned what it felt like to be alone with my anxieties because I didn’t have the words to express to others what I was feeling on the inside. Learning that there was a reason for my struggles opened a new world of self-acceptance and empowerment, one that allowed me to take charge of my life and give myself the care I had been missing. Today, I get to work with people who struggle like I did to find a "method to their madness". Together, we'll get rid of the shame that stops you from finding the acceptance you deserve and work towards building a life that fits within your unique needs.
My name is Marie Mason and I moved to the United States in 1994 to teach. My work with children eventually led me to counseling. I have been licensed for seven years and I work with all ages. I really like doing trauma work, which is why I am EMDR and TF-CBT trained. I also do a lot of work with anxiety.

Outside of therapy I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog. I love practicing self-care and reading.
As a therapist, I show up with authenticity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I am grounded in a social justice lens and committed to creating a space where clients, especially adults, veterans, and individuals navigating grief, depression, or racial identity challenges, feel seen, supported, and empowered. My work is centered on helping people reclaim their stories, build resilience, and move through life’s complexities with greater clarity and confidence.
Welcome, my name is Karen Christopher, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Texas. I have over 20 years experience serving people. I am also a retired military spouse. I enjoy supporting people in all phases of life. I work with adults who experience depressive mood, anxiety, grief, PTSD, job related stress, martial issues and other concerns as well.
I am an LPC offering therapy to children, teens and adults. I believe it very important to understand how our past shapes and influences our present choices. I believe we see and relate to the world the way we were shaped from an early age. Knowing who we are and how we see and perceive the world helps us understand and relate better to ourselves and others.

My focus is reconciliation. Healing is often achieved through us becoming reconciled with self and/or others. It can be a process that allows us to identify and modify our thoughts and behaviors. We are all a work in progress and rightly so as circumstances are constantly changing. I believe that each person should have an opportunity to express themselves in a safe, nurturing, judgement free zone. As we seek to gain an understanding of self and others, often we experience a shift in our processing. If you are stuck or it feels like you are spinning out of control like a hamster on a wheel, let’s talk about “it”.
