New to Grow
Hello! My name is Lindsey Sanchez and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I am the founder of "She Becomes: Therapy & Wellness", a private practice dedicated exclusively to supporting women on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. I believe every woman deserves a safe, compassionate space where she can explore her experiences without judgment while developing the confidence to create the life she desires. I specialize in working with women experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, and stress. My goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and equipped with the tools needed to become the healthiest version of yourself. I believe therapy is about more than managing symptoms—it's about helping you understand your story, reconnect with your strengths, and become the woman you want to be. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, combining meaningful conversations with evidence-based practices tailored to your unique needs. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care ( I am EMDR trained) to help women increase self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and develop practical skills that support lasting change. Together, we'll work to build confidence, strengthen emotional resilience, and create a life that aligns with your values.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I'll take time to understand your concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and the goals you hope to accomplish through therapy. My priority is creating a warm, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. By the end of our session, you'll have a better understanding of how we'll work together and a personalized plan that supports your healing, growth, and the woman you're becoming.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a genuine, supportive relationship where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I believe lasting change happens when we combine self-awareness with practical action, so I help clients explore the experiences that have shaped them while also developing realistic strategies they can use in everyday life. My style is compassionate, collaborative, and direct when needed—I strive to meet clients where they are while gently encouraging growth and accountability. Above all, I'm passionate about helping women recognize their strengths, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change as they become the healthiest version of themselves.
My ideal client is a woman who feels ready to invest in herself, even if she's not exactly sure where to begin. She may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or simply disconnected from the person she wants to be. She often puts everyone else first and is ready to start prioritizing her own mental and emotional well-being. Many of the women I work with are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, perfectionism, stress, anxiety, depression, or the lasting effects of difficult life experiences. They want more than just temporary relief—they want to understand themselves on a deeper level, build healthier habits, improve their relationships, and feel more confident in who they are. If you're looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment, gently challenge you when needed, and walk alongside you as you heal and grow, we may be a great fit. My goal is to help you build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and aligned with the woman you're becoming.
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to discover your own strengths, solutions, and personal growth.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness helps you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without immediately reacting to them. I'll teach simple techniques that can reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and help you stay grounded during difficult moments.
Psychoeducation
Sometimes understanding why something is happening can make it feel much less overwhelming. Throughout therapy, I'll explain how anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationships affect the brain and body so you can better understand your experiences and feel more empowered in your healing.
Strength-Based
Instead of focusing only on what's wrong, we'll also recognize what's already working. We'll build on your existing strengths, resilience, and personal qualities to help you overcome challenges and feel more confident in yourself.
Trauma Informed Care
Past experiences can continue to influence how we think, feel, and respond today. We'll work together at a pace that feels comfortable, helping you better understand how those experiences have shaped you while building a greater sense of safety, confidence, and emotional resilience.
