With a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and dual licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LDAC), I bring extensive expertise to address a range of mental health and addiction concerns. My professional background includes working with diverse populations, including adults, teens, and children navigating trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and existential challenges. I meet my clients where they are, helping them navigate through trauma, addiction, anxiety, and life transitions with a focus on healing, self-awareness, and empowerment. If you’re tired of feeling stuck and ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk that journey with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session is all about getting to know you—your story, your struggles, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll start by exploring your concerns, what’s been weighing on you, and any goals you have for your healing journey. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay—I’ll guide the conversation in a way that feels comfortable and natural for you. This is a space where you can be open, honest, and unfiltered without fear of judgment. My approach is direct yet compassionate, blending trauma-informed care with real-world strategies to help you gain clarity and relief. Whether you’re facing anxiety, past trauma, addiction, or life transitions, we’ll work together to develop a plan that meets you where you are and moves you toward where you want to be. By the end of our first session, you’ll have a better understanding of how therapy with me works, what to expect moving forward, and the first steps we can take together. This is your journey—I’m here to help you navigate it.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

What sets me apart as a therapist is my ability to meet clients where they are with both understanding and accountability. I bring over 13 years of experience in addiction counseling, mental health advocacy, and trauma work, but more importantly, I bring lived experience and deep empathy for those navigating life’s most difficult moments. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I understand the weight of unspoken trauma, the struggles of transitioning to civilian life, and the unique challenges veterans and first responders face. My background working with high-risk populations—including those struggling with addiction, homelessness, domestic violence, and perinatal mental health—has given me a unique ability to see beyond the surface and help clients reconnect with their strengths. I take a direct but compassionate approach, blending evidence-based practices with real-world strategies that empower clients to make lasting changes. My work is rooted in authenticity, making it easy for clients to open up, feel understood, and find a path forward that truly fits their needs. Whether you’re dealing with addiction, trauma, anxiety, or life transitions, I offer a space where you can be real, process your past, and build a future that aligns with who you truly are.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you someone who feels stuck in the cycle of stress, trauma, or addiction, knowing deep down that something needs to change but unsure where to start. Are you high-functioning but internally struggling with anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. Have you experienced past trauma—whether from childhood, relationships, or military service—that affects your daily life, emotions, and decisions. Are you a veteran, professional, or individual balancing work, family, and personal challenges, often feeling pressure to "keep it together" while silently battling inner turmoil. Have you turned to substances or unhealthy coping mechanisms, or simply exhausted from the weight of unprocessed emotions and past experiences. What does this all have in common? The desire for relief, understanding, and a path forward. You are ready—or at least willing—to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a therapist who truly gets it. You need someone who can provide a direct, yet compassionate approach, offering not just support, but real tools for change.
