About me

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am a social worker with 13 years of experience helping individuals work through life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I have specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enjoy helping people better understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can create meaningful, lasting change. I work with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress, and other life challenges. My experience working with veterans and their families has given me a deeper understanding of the unique experiences that can affect emotional well-being, while also strengthening my ability to support people from many different backgrounds. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. I believe therapy is a partnership where you are heard, respected, and encouraged every step of the way. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create realistic goals that fit your life. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain confidence, and feel better equipped to navigate whatever challenges you may be facing.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, supportive environment. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope to accomplish. I'll ask questions to better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and any patterns that may be contributing to your concerns. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and discuss how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can support your progress. You'll also have plenty of time to ask questions, learn about my approach, and decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Compassion, active listening, and empowerment are at the heart of my approach. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly share your experiences. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, recognize your strengths, and build practical coping strategies that support your goals. I believe lasting change happens when clients feel supported while also gaining the confidence to make decisions and overcome challenges on their own. I will meet you where you are and work alongside you as you move toward meaningful growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who are ready for change but may feel unsure about where to begin. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, or a major life transition, I will help you take manageable steps toward healing and growth. My experience working with a variety of individuals has taught me that everyone's journey is different. Together, we'll focus on building practical skills, increasing resilience, and finding solutions that fit your unique needs so you can feel more confident managing life's challenges
