New to Grow
As a therapist, I show up with authenticity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I am grounded in a social justice lens and committed to creating a space where clients, especially adults, veterans, and individuals navigating grief, depression, or racial identity challenges, feel seen, supported, and empowered. My work is centered on helping people reclaim their stories, build resilience, and move through life’s complexities with greater clarity and confidence.
In our first session, clients can expect a calm, welcoming space where we get to know each other and begin exploring what brought them to therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful questions about their history, current concerns, and goals so we can build a shared understanding of what they need and how I can support them. Together, we’ll set the foundation for a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, collaborative, and centered on their growth.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the way I blend evidence‑based practices with a deeply human, socially conscious perspective. I create a space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood, especially those navigating grief, depression, racial identity challenges, or the unique experiences of military service. My work is grounded in collaboration, empowerment, and helping clients reconnect with their strengths so they can move through life with greater clarity and confidence.
My ideal clients are adults navigating life’s shifting challenges, whether they’re coping with grief, depression, major transitions, or the weight of past experiences. I am especially passionate about supporting veterans as they adjust to civilian life, process trauma, and rebuild a sense of identity and purpose. I also work from a social justice lens, counseling individuals who are exploring racial identity, confronting prejudice, or carrying the emotional impact of systemic oppression. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, empowered, and supported as they reclaim their stories and move toward healing.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and structured, focusing on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and building practical coping skills. I tailor CBT tools such as thought records, behavioral strategies, and skills practice to support meaningful, lasting change.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they carry about themselves and their lives. Together, we identify problem‑saturated narratives and create space for alternative stories that reflect clients’ strengths, values, and preferred identities. My approach is collaborative and empowering, supporting clients in separating themselves from their problems and authoring new, more meaningful narratives.
