Hi! I’m Heidi!
I know how hard it is to spill your guts to a stranger, and I don’t take that lightly. Feeling safe and comfortable is the most important part of therapy, and I strive to create a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. You don’t have to do this alone—I’m here to help. I take a down-to-earth, real-world approach to therapy because I’ve survived my own struggles, and I know what it’s like to fight for healing.
My approach integrates evidence-based therapies with holistic and mindfulness-based techniques to address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, or relationship challenges, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore your emotions and create lasting change.
I have worked in inpatient facilities specializing in substance abuse, mental health, and trauma, providing intensive support to individuals in crisis. In my private practice, I have worked with both survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, as well as high-profile individuals in Hollywood who require a high level of discretion and specialized care. My experience in these settings has deepened my understanding of complex trauma, addiction, and the unique stressors that come with high-pressure environments.
Hi, I’m Stasia Manak. I’ve spent over 9 years working alongside people as they face life’s challenges—whether it’s trauma, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, grief, or just feeling lost. I work with teens and adults (13+) and believe in building a strong, collaborative relationship in therapy. My goal is to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and grounded in your life, one step at a time.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Wisconsin, Texas and Utah with over 6 years of professional work experience as a therapist and over 10 years of experience working within community settings. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, complex trauma and substance abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, depression, anxiety and more. I work with Individuals and couples.
Clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! Together, we'll co-create a balanced approach combining active listening with practical techniques, helping you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles. My clinical and holistic approach aims for deeper alignment and fulfillment—think more water, less soda.
As an LCSW, I'm trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and am a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your wants, needs, and emotions. You know yourself best, and our work is about uncovering your truths rather than imposing mine.
Together, we'll determine the tools and approaches that best suit your needs, ensuring you feel heard, validated, and empowered. The goal is to help you confidently manage challenges independently over time. We'll walk side-by-side, with you gradually taking the lead and me offering steady support. If you have pressing concerns, those always take precedence.
Our sessions focus on understanding HOW you think, not just WHAT you think, exploring both conscious and unconscious beliefs and emotions. You'll leave with clear, actionable steps, such as mindfulness exercises, creative writing prompts, meditation, and breathwork techniques to regulate emotions and reclaim your narrative.
Therapy isn't about fixing what's "broken" but enhancing alignment and fulfillment while overcoming obstacles. By focusing on your goals and measuring progress, we can eliminate stigma, leaving shame behind and empowering you toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment.
I earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, I received a secondary Guidance Certification from Villanova University. I am a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor and have worked in a broad range of settings for over 28 years.
I believe that the best clinical practice is an evidence-formed, eclectic model whereby the therapist adjusts to the needs of the client. I strive to provide clients with an opportunity to explore their inner selves, their relationships with others and their innate striving for wholeness, creativity, and well-being. Therapy can increase overall sense of well-being, build stronger coping and problem-solving skills, strengthen one's resiliency and determination, change behavior, and build stronger interpersonal relationships.
The establishment of a trusting relationship between the client and therapist is of utmost importance to be able to work together to build a skill set to adapt and overcome life's most difficult challenges in order to create a fulfilling life. Regardless of a client's clinical needs, it is imperative to determine their support system and focus on the encouraging aspects of those relationships in helping the client become more resilient and set on a positive path in life.
Hello there! Kudos to you for taking this step. I’m a therapist that is devoted to her craft and that knows what it’s like to be broken. Therefore, I am going to be devoted to your healing and as knowledgeable as I can be in doing so. I’m also going to be able to come from a perspective of being able to identify with your hurting and to have unique perspectives on options for promoting your healing process.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I join in collaboration and congruency with my clients demonstrating warmth, empathy, and genuineness--fundamental to the development of a therapeutic relationship. CBT is designed to bring in balance with use of tools and resources based on functioning of the person. My personal philosophy of life for counseling is that 'serene tranquility' coupled with 'bringing in balance' is cornerstone to the rejuvenation of Hope. It is the road to recovery; for restoration of faith from doubt/grief/loss; for personal growth and development; for understanding self and functioning in relationships with others; and, with building self-confidence and -esteem geared towards recognizing inherent characteristic qualities of life: worth, value, and validation. CBT helps with understanding the functional roles of all emotions, both positive and negative, and their impact on behavioral responses. I believe that you are the expert and pilot of your own life; and, am here to assist you with navigating your life journey by providing a safe and caring space free of judgment as your life co-pilot. Hello, I am Shari.
Are you looking for someone you can feel safe to address your needs and not feel judged? Are you looking for someone authentic and supportive? Are you having difficulty finding someone who will be honest and direct?
I work well with anyone who is motivated to start addressing their concerns right away. I believe finding the right therapist can be challenging, but it should not be a barrier to getting help. Finding a therapist should feel comfortable and natural. I am told I have a way of helping people feel as if they have known me before.
I like to get an understanding of the source of your problem. Then together we explore how the source influences your thinking. People live life through their experiences which do not always serve us very well in today's time. I also believe in working from a holistic approach. Did you know our daily routines can prolong your recovery or cause mental instability? I have experienced being in a therapeutic relationship and believe in normalizing the need to get help in this way.
As an integrated practitioner (therapist, meditation coach, and yoga teacher), I offer a modality that shifts the focus from fixing to realizing. Unlike approaches that seek to modify internal content (thoughts, feelings) to achieve stability, we anchor our work in the unwavering integrity that is already present within you.
The core of our collaboration rests on the capacity to embrace the present moment, requiring: radical openness, unreserved honesty, and a willingness to soften old patterns of resistance.
I bring deep competence in supporting individuals navigating the challenges of trauma, substance dependency, and neurodiversity (including my own experience with AUDHD). Having served as a veteran and worked extensively with this population, I understand the unique barriers and strengths involved, reiterating that the depth of the work is proportional to the sincerity of engagement.
This process is a shared inquiry. I act as a mirror and a compass, offering guidance to help you navigate toward the innate wisdom that already holds the answers. The true authority resides in your own developing awareness.
Secure online sessions in Indiana, Arizona, Texas, New Hampshire, and Illinois.
Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letter assessments are available for $250. This fee includes all assessment tools and labor for writing the letter.

My clients often long for deeper peace, stronger boundaries, and more authentic relationships—but they may not know where to start. Many are navigating life transitions, past trauma, or complex emotions that leave them feeling isolated or exhausted. They want to feel more grounded, aligned, and confident in who they are and how they move through the world. That’s where I come in. I help by creating a compassionate, empowering space for you to slow down, tune in, & heal. Together, we explore what’s getting in the way of the life you want to live. My work is rooted in modalities like ACT, CBT, IFS, Brainspotting, & mindfulness. In our first few sessions, you can expect to feel heard, supported, and not rushed.
My clinical experience has been providing individual therapy services to adolescents, adults and seniors. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and family issues.
My goal is to create a space where clients can authentically express themselves without fear of judgment or misunderstanding and to empower individuals to present their true selves confidently to the world.
I aim to help clients embrace all parts of themselves as they heal and grow.
You are the narrator of your story and I am here to guide and help support you through your journey.

Hello,
I was born and raised in Stockton, California. I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 17 and in 1997, after 25 yeas of service, I retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a Farrier (Horseshoer), as well as a structural welder (Ironworker), as those were the most marketable skill that I had. I came to a point where old injuries came back to haunt me and I could no longer walk (several years later, thanks to a surgery through the VA, I can walk again; thankful for that).
At this point, I changed professions and out of a desire to work with veterans, I returned to school, accomplishing all that was necessary to become a licensed counselor. I spent another career working for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically as a counselor in the Readjustment Counseling Service (Vet Center). I recently retired from the Vet Center and now I work part-time here with Grow Therapy.
As a retired Marine senior staff Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) and disabled combat veteran myself, the Vet Center was the perfect job. Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling to combat veterans and provide counseling to survivors of military sexual trauma (MST). Vet Centers also provide group counseling, bereavement counseling and couples counseling when this is determined to be of support to the veteran.
Readjustment counseling many times consists of treating/addressing symptoms related to post-traumatic stress (PTSD), I.e., anxiety, depression, exaggerated startle response, hypervigilance, sleep disturbance, etc. Many veterans go on to work as first responders and working with many first responders as well as medical personal, has provided me with a great deal of additional experience.

I also teach graduate-level courses in ethics, disaster and trauma response, abnormal behavior, community counseling, and criminal behavior, and I mentor graduate dissertation students in forensic psychology.
