New to Grow
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, depression, or the pressures of balancing everyday life, you don’t have to navigate it alone. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in helping women and mothers find healing, clarity, and emotional balance through a compassionate blend of faith-based counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I understand firsthand how exhausting it can feel to constantly pour into others while struggling silently yourself. Because of this, I create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Together, we will work to overcome negative thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, rebuild confidence, and help you reconnect with peace and purpose in your life. My goal is not only to help you manage your struggles, but to empower you to grow, heal, and thrive in every area of your life.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a welcoming and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. During our first session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’ve been experiencing, and the goals you hope to achieve. I may ask questions about your emotional well-being, relationships, stressors, personal history, and coping patterns to gain a better understanding of your experiences and how I can best support you. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and determine whether we feel like a good fit for working together. Together, we will begin identifying meaningful goals and creating a path toward healing, growth, and emotional wellness. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting — just showing up is an important first step.
What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is that I bring both professional training and personal understanding into the counseling space. As a woman and mother who understands the demands of balancing multiple responsibilities, relationships, and expectations, I know how easy it can be to feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. My goal is to provide a space where clients feel genuinely understood, supported, and never judged. I take an integrative approach that combines evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with faith-based counseling for clients who want to incorporate their spirituality into the healing process. Faith can be a powerful source of strength, hope, and restoration, and I thoughtfully integrate it into sessions in a way that aligns with each client’s comfort level and personal beliefs. What also shapes my work is my own journey with anxiety. For many years, I struggled with anxiety personally and understand how isolating and consuming it can feel. Through therapy, intentional lifestyle changes, and a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit, I began to experience healing, peace, and lasting transformation in my own life. That experience allows me to connect with clients from a place of empathy and authenticity while helping them believe that change and healing are possible for them too. I strive to help clients not only manage symptoms, but truly grow emotionally, mentally, and spiritually so they can move forward with greater peace, confidence, and purpose.

I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach to therapy is strongly informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT in a collaborative and practical way, helping clients identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or feeling “stuck.” In sessions, I work with clients to explore unhelpful thought patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. Together, we develop tools and strategies that support healthier coping, emotional regulation, and more balanced ways of thinking. I often integrate CBT techniques such as identifying cognitive distortions, reframing negative self-talk, building coping skills, problem-solving, and creating achievable behavioral goals. My style is warm, supportive, and individualized. I recognize that every person’s experiences and needs are different, so I tailor CBT interventions to fit each client rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I also incorporate mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based perspectives when appropriate to help clients feel empowered and supported throughout the therapeutic process. I value creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their growth. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build practical skills, and develop greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges both inside and outside of therapy.
