(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I started my career as an educator and have over 20 years of experience working with children to teens, while collaborating with their caregivers. I received my Master's from Lamar University and have been practicing for nine years as a Professional School Counselor and LPC for three years. Also. I have my Doctorate in Education, which my dissertation was about how to restore and connect between students and teachers. I believe in the healing power of connection and support for students. I help children aged 5 to adulthood manage life’s stressors through many modalities that best meet my client’s needs.
In our first session, we’ll start with brief introductions and then dive into your challenges. Also, the symptoms that are manifesting from those challenges. This will help me create an individualized plan for us to work through in the follow-up session. The first session is to get your narrative of what brings you into therapy. Although there are intake questions asked prior to our first session, this narrative provides more information.
Since I have worked with kids and families for over 20 years, I feel my strength lies in working with children and teens while partnering with parents/guardians to support their children's development. This partnership will provide the best opportunity to support your child holistically.
I love working with children and young adults; my specialty is women’s issues. My clients are eager to improve but don’t have the tools to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about their lives.
