LMFT, 5 years of experience
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas with a Master’s degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and over five years of dedicated experience. I specialize in helping individuals move through stress, trauma, and women’s health concerns with clarity, compassion, and evidence-based support. My work is especially aligned with clients navigating autoimmune disorders, cancer, and chronic health conditions who want to live with less anxiety, less overwhelm, and more steadiness in their daily lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic—I don’t just treat symptoms; I help you understand the patterns beneath them. Together, we create a safe, empowering space where you can process what you’ve carried, reconnect to your body and intuition, and build a life that feels calmer, clearer, and genuinely aligned with who you want to be. If you’re looking for a therapist who is both deeply compassionate and highly skilled in complex emotional and health-related stress, I would love to work with you.
In the initial session with me, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they can begin to explore their concerns in a safe and non-judgmental space. There is no judgement with me, just honesty and simply wanting to work with you on seeing progress. I want you to feel free to speak to someone without fear of holding back. In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where you don’t have to hold anything back. My approach is judgment-free, honest, and deeply supportive—I’m here to truly understand you, not evaluate you. This is your time to exhale, speak freely, and finally feel like someone is listening with compassion and clarity. We’ll start by getting to know each other and exploring what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your background, your current concerns, and the goals you hope to work toward. You’re always in control of how much you want to share—there’s no pressure and no rush. I’ll also walk you through what therapy looks like with me, including confidentiality, how we’ll structure our work together, and what you can expect moving forward. If helpful, we may introduce a few grounding tools or coping strategies so you leave the session feeling supported and a bit lighter than when you arrived. Most importantly, this first session is about connection—feeling heard, understood, and safe as you begin your healing journey.
What truly defines my therapeutic approach is my deep empathy, adaptability, and commitment to client-centered care. I lead with compassion and genuine understanding, creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. My clients often share that they feel seen—not just their symptoms, but their story, their strengths, and their humanity. I am highly flexible in how I work, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness practices, and narrative approaches. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all method; instead, I tailor the work to your personality, your pace, and your goals. This allows the therapy experience to feel natural, personalized, and deeply attuned to what you need in each session. At the heart of my practice is collaboration. I believe therapy works best when you feel empowered, respected, and actively involved in your healing process. My role is to guide, support, and offer insight—never to pressure or dictate. Together, we build a therapeutic partnership that honors your autonomy and helps you move toward clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful growth.
I support individuals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck and are ready for a space that truly meets them where they are. Many of my clients are navigating stress disorders—whether that looks like chronic anxiety, panic attacks, burnout, or work-related pressure that’s become too heavy to carry alone. I also work deeply with individuals healing from trauma. With specialized training in trauma-informed care, I help clients who have gone through difficult or painful experiences reclaim safety, strengthen resilience, and move toward emotional freedom at their own pace. Women’s health is another core part of my practice. I support clients facing reproductive challenges, postpartum adjustment, hormonal or fertility-related stress, and those coping with trauma or long-term health conditions. My goal is facilitate understanding and solutions of the emotional, physical, and identity-level impact these experiences can create.
I use a combination of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to empower clients in navigating life's challenges. By integrating these skills into therapy sessions and skills training groups, I help clients develop coping strategies for distressing situations, enhance emotional resilience, and foster healthier interactions with others.
In my counseling practice, I prioritize a strength-based approach that focuses on harnessing the inherent capabilities and resources within each individual. Rather than solely focusing on problems or challenges, I strive to identify and amplify the unique strengths, skills, and resilience present in my clients. Through collaborative exploration and empowerment, I work alongside individuals to recognize and leverage their strengths as tools for growth and positive change. By cultivating a supportive and affirming environment, I aim to instill confidence, hope, and a sense of agency in my clients, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their therapeutic goals. This approach fosters a sense of self-efficacy and encourages clients to tap into their own internal resources, ultimately promoting greater resilience and well-being.
In my approach to counseling, I deeply value the principles of trauma-informed care, recognizing the pervasive impact of trauma on individuals' lives. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients feel heard, respected, and validated. Central to this approach is a profound understanding of the complex ways in which trauma can manifest and influence individuals' thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
In my counseling practice, I am committed to embracing the principles of multicultural counseling to ensure that every client receives culturally responsive and affirming care. I recognize the profound influence of culture, identity, and intersectionality on individuals' lived experiences and mental health. I strive to create an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel valued, understood, and respected. Central to this approach is a genuine curiosity and openness to understanding the unique cultural perspectives, values, and beliefs that shape clients' worldviews. I actively engage in ongoing self-reflection and cultural humility, acknowledging my own biases and privileges to better serve clients from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.
Mainly, I use eclectic approach that draws from a diverse range of therapeutic techniques and theoretical orientations to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual client. Rather than adhering strictly to one theoretical model, I integrate elements from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic approaches, mindfulness-based interventions, and other evidence-based practices. This eclectic framework allows me to be flexible and responsive to the complexities of human experience, honoring the multifaceted nature of mental health and well-being.
