I describe myself as a grounded, authentic, and collaborative therapist who balances a warm heart with a highly practical, real world approach to healing. I’m not the type to just sit back and nod silently; I am right there in the trenches with you, bringing my genuine, slightly nerdy self to every session, and I believe everyone has an inner resilience waiting to be unlocked! My life is full, beautifully chaotic, and deeply rewarding. As a spouse and a mother of four, including a wonderful youngest child who is autistic, I intimately understand what it feels like to manage a million moving parts. I know the exhaustion of a racing mind, the weight of sensory and emotional overload, and the delicate art of balancing family, transitions, and personal growth. Because of these lived experiences, I bring a deeply human, judgment-free perspective to my practice. In sessions, we will use evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT to actively build a practical toolkit for your daily life. We will work as a team to quiet the internal noise, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and master concrete skills to regulate intense emotions. For clients who desire it, I gladly incorporate a Christ-centered approach, utilizing scripture and prayer as an anchor for our clinical work. However, if you are currently facing a painful crisis of faith or spiritual burnout, I offer a safe harbor to process those doubts without a shred of judgment. Ultimately, I meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to help you calm the chaos, break through emotional blocks, and reclaim your peace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Taking the step to start therapy can bring up a mix of nerves and anticipation, so I want you to know exactly what to expect when we first connect. My main goal for our very first session is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and truly heard. Our first 50 minutes together is a collaborative, pressure free conversation. Here is what we will focus on: Getting to Know Each Other: We will start by breaking the ice. You will get a sense of my personality and therapeutic style, and we will begin building a comfortable, trusting connection. Understanding Your "Why": We will talk about what brings you to therapy right now. Whether you want to discuss a constantly racing mind, daily overwhelm, a recent life transition, or a crisis of faith, you can share as much or as little as you feel ready to disclose. You are entirely in the driver’s seat. Exploring Your Goals & Values: We will discuss what a "successful" therapy journey looks like for you. If you wish to bring spirituality or Christian faith into your healing, we will talk about how you’d like that to look. If you are focused strictly on building clinical coping skills, we will map that out, too. Setting a Practical Roadmap: Before we wrap up, we will outline a game plan. You will get a preview of how we will use practical CBT and DBT tools in future sessions so you know exactly how we plan to tackle the chaos and help you reclaim your peace. There are no wrong answers, and you don’t need to have anything perfectly figured out before you show up. Just come as you are, nerdy traits, messy thoughts, doubts, and all. I look forward to walking alongside you!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my practice unique is the seamless blend of clinical structure, spiritual flexibility, and real world lived experience. I don't offer a one-size-fits-all approach, and I don't sit back in a chair nodding silently. I am an active, collaborative partner in your healing, and my approach stands out in three distinct ways: A Fully Integrated, Dual-Lens Approach: Many therapists specialize strictly in evidence-based modalities or strictly in faith-based counseling. My approach bridges that gap completely. I weave together the heavy hitting, practical skill sets of CBT and DBT with a Christ-centered foundation for clients who want it. You don't have to choose between deeply practical psychology and your spiritual values, we use both to quiet your racing mind. A Safe Harbor for Faith Crises: While I gladly incorporate scripture and prayer as an anchor for those who draw strength from it, I offer something rare: a completely safe, zero-judgment zone for individuals experiencing spiritual burnout or a profound crisis of faith. If you are questioning long-held beliefs or feeling disconnected from your spiritual community, I am not here to police your theology. I am here to help you safely untangle your thoughts and process your doubts. Grounded in Real World, Neurodiverse Life: My approach is deeply human and entirely realistic because my own life is full and beautifully complex. As a spouse and a mother of four, including an autistic youngest child, I don't teach coping mechanisms out of a sterile textbook. I understand sensory overload, the exhaustion of a mind that won't shut down, and the daily juggling act of a busy family. I bring my authentic self to sessions so you can drop the mask and be yourself, too. In my practice, clinical expertise meets genuine, messy, everyday humanity. We will laugh, we will do deep work, and we will build a practical toolkit that actually works for your real life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who feel overwhelmed by a constantly racing mind and those navigating deep spiritual transitions or crises of faith. Many of my clients come to me feeling completely exhausted by their own thoughts, experiencing that relentless, daily anxiety where your mind simply won't turn off, making it hard to focus, rest, or feel present in your own life. Together, we work on quietening that internal noise, breaking the cycle of overthinking, and building concrete, everyday tools to help you reclaim a sense of calm and control.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

For clients who wish to integrate their faith into the healing process, I offer a clinically sound, Christ-centered approach to therapy. I believe that true wellness encompasses the mind, body, and spirit, and I welcome the opportunity to bring biblical principles, prayer, and scripture into our sessions whenever you feel it is helpful.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a highly practical, collaborative tool to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions. Often, when we are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, it is because we are caught in automatic, unhelpful thinking patterns that distort how we see ourselves and our circumstances. In our sessions, we will work as a team to identify these specific thought patterns. CBT isn't about forced "positive thinking"; instead, it’s about learning to view your thoughts with curiosity and objectivity so you can challenge the ones that are no longer serving you.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice to help you find balance when life’s emotions feel overwhelming, intense, or difficult to manage. The word "dialectical" simply means balancing two seemingly opposite ideas at the same time: acceptance and change. In our sessions, this means I fully accept and validate exactly where you are right now, while simultaneously helping you build the practical skills needed to change unhelpful patterns and move forward.
