Tired of reading bios? I would be too, so I'll keep it short: I graduated from UPenn 10+ years ago with a Master's in Social Work. I have experience working in almost every setting you could imagine. I specialize in making people feel comfortable, safe, and validated. I specialize in treating my clients like they matter, are important & are worthy, no matter what they look like, sound like, or "seem" like. I'm also an expert in being a real human being and not a robot with automated responses who will "mhmm" you to death. My "approach" is understanding that I can't expect you to expose the deepest, darkest, most vulnerable parts of yourself to me if I remain a complete stranger to you. In our sessions, I want you to feel like you're with one of your best friends who you can trust, laugh and ugly-cry with. My only goal is to make you feel like you're not alone. Like you have someone in your corner who will fight for you, laugh with you, curse with you, and ugly-cry with you (I'm totally kidding, kinda, that part's negotiable).

I’m a therapist with a social work background, and I work with young and middle-aged adults who are dealing with all kinds of stress in their lives. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with many LGBTQ+ and BIPOC individuals as they navigate the emotional ups and downs that can come with living in a changing social and political climate. Sometimes that stress shows up as anxiety, low mood, or intrusive thoughts that come and go. Other times, it can feel heavier or harder to manage on your own. I aim to create a space that feels warm, genuine, and welcoming—one where you can show up as you are and talk openly about what’s going on. Our work together is centered on what you need and what healing looks like for you. I’m thoughtful, curious, and supportive, and I also know when to be direct. My goal is to help you build tools to cope, make sense of your experiences, and move forward in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.

Hello and welcome! I know that taking the first steps to reach out for support can be overwhelming and scary. There are so many options of therapists, how can you possibly choose the "right one"? I tell all clients I meet for the first time the same thing: 'finding a therapist is like trying on a pair of jeans or a pair of shoes, they can all be the same size, but they all may fit a bit differently. One may be too tight, too big, or one you just might not like for a reason, and you don't really know why.' The only way to truly know is to try it on and see how it feels. That may not be the pretty answer, but it's what I have found in my 10 years of experience to be true. So I invite you to simply try, and if it doesn't work the first time or second, try again, because once you find the right one, it's worth it. I hope I am the "right one" for you, and if I'm not, finding you the person who is the "right one" for you is extremely important to me, and I will do everything I can to help find that one for you.

Are you feeling alone or at sea in your experience of grief and loss? Are you seeking support and a positive shift in perspective as you encounter big changes in your life -- losing a loved one, starting a new job or career, empty nesting, giving birth, or moving homes? Your journey of grief, loss, or life change is unique -- with its own timeline and emotional terrain. As your therapist, I will support you in navigating both the mix of feelings you may encounter - anxiety, depression, numbness and more - and the altered life rhythms of this new landscape. By offering a safe space for you to explore meaning, moods, identity, and relationships in this time of transition, I will help you to expand your skills in managing unwelcome emotions. By listening with whole heart and open mind, by inviting your reflections, and by offering guidance and support, I commit to your healing and growth in a difficult time. With a professional background as a hospice social worker and as a career changer, I understand the variability and uniqueness of how life changes and loss can manifest inwardly and outwardly. While the work we do together may be challenging and heart-heavy at times, it can also invite moments of humor and profound insight. My expertise is in supporting you in finding your footing on the path you choose. Journeys, whether inward or outward, will be the inspiration for our partnership and work together.

As an existentially oriented psychotherapist with 25 years of experience treating a range of people in a variety of settings, I work most effectively with people who are open to mindfulness and other spiritual modalities. We will work together to create an alliance as we negotiate life's inevitable challenges by establishing empathy and understanding while maintaining a strategic and solution-focused stance. Most recently, I have been influenced by Internal Family Systems therapy and have found this as a useful adjunct to my practice. I draw on a significant number of resources in my work with my clients. This will include poetry, art, music, philosophy, spiritual teachings, and literature. Hi, I’m Cindy—a trauma-informed therapist and EMDR specialist dedicated to helping you reclaim your peace, clarity, and confidence. If you’re moving through a major life change—divorce, loss, a career shift, empty nesting, or the heavy responsibility of single parenting—you’ve likely been carrying far more than you share. The anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion don’t have to be your “new normal.” You deserve support. In my work, I help women and men untangle the experiences that keep them feeling stuck. As a trauma-informed therapist trained in EMDR, I provide a safe space to process the past, calm the nervous system, and create meaningful shifts that last. My style is warm, direct, and deeply compassionate. I’m here to walk alongside you—not judge you. Whether you’re trying to make sense of a painful chapter, rebuild your identity, or simply feel like yourself again, we’ll work together to create balance, confidence, and a life that feels aligned with who you truly are. You don’t have to navigate this season alone. I’m here when you’re ready to take the next step.

My name is David Mancuso, and at the heart of my work is a belief that every person carries an untold story—one shaped by survival, family dynamics, unspoken pain, and the longing to feel whole. I help clients reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve had to silence in order to function. My approach blends depth-oriented psychotherapy with a direct, grounded style that invites honesty, clarity, and personal evolution. I draw from years of clinical practice, trauma-informed training, attachment theory, and my own lived experiences navigating complex family systems. Because of that background, I understand what it means to rebuild a self from the inside out. Clients often come to me during moments of transition, emotional exhaustion, identity confusion, or relational upheaval. They stay because our work helps them find their center again. While I bring a calm and steady presence, I also show up with real engagement. I don’t sit back passively—I’m interactive, reflective, and attuned to the subtle patterns that shape how you think, feel, and relate. Therapy with me is an active process of reconnecting with your original self, strengthening your internal structure, and learning to move through the world with more confidence, emotional clarity, and integrity. Above all, I care deeply about the people I work with. My intention is to offer a space where you feel understood, supported, and challenged in meaningful ways—so you can step into a more grounded, connected, and empowered version of yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Massachusetts rather than a city like Boston?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Massachusetts. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Massachusetts from Springfield to Cape Cod! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Massachusetts.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Family Conflict?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Family Conflict, is filtering therapists in Massachusetts that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
