New to Grow
Hi, welcome! I am Bensu. I am a licensed psychotherapist and I work with adults and couples. I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I love my work and deeply value the privilege of helping you overcome difficulties of life and supporting your growth. I'm truly glad that you're taking this step to prioritize your mental health. I know how important it is to feel seen and understood, and I strive to offer that experience in every session. I support individuals and couples in a safe, caring space using a collaborative, strength-based approach. Together, we build connection, explore challenges, and create room for growth. You don't have to face this alone anymore.
In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I'll listen to your story, ask questions to better understand your needs, and work with you to set goals that feel meaningful and achievable. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable as we begin this journey together. You can expect me to be warm, active, patient, and nonjudgmental.
My clients often tell me that I'm easy to talk to and they feel safe and comfortable opening up with me. My greatest strengths are my compassion and empathy, and my ability to use the most appropriate treatment modality for my diverse group of clients.
I am a great fit for people who want clarity and deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Adults (age 18 + ) and couples are welcome! I work with a variety of issues including relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, decision-making, depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and so on.
I am a firm believer that it is the relationship between client and therapist that cultivate healing. I create a client-centered, collaborative, nonjudgmental space where my clients feel empowered. Through empathy, acceptance, and genuine connection, I support my clients in accessing their own inner strengths and capacity for growth.
I provide a safe and supportive space where couples can openly share, discover their mutual goals, and grow together. I welcome couples of all backgrounds, including heterosexual and same-sex couples.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help my clients manage strong emotions, improve relationships, and build practical coping skills. Together, we focus on mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication strategies that support lasting change.
