Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re balancing the many roles and responsibilities that come with being a woman. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, parenting stress, trauma, reproductive or hormonal changes, career demands, or a major life transition, you don’t have to navigate it all alone. Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and make sense of what you’re experiencing.
I am Danielle Oehme, founder and licensed clinical professional counselor for Hope and Healing Counseling, I have over 10 years experience working in the mental health field. I have a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and Child Development. My background is focused in anxiety, depression, family stress, behavior management, trauma, parental stress, women's issues, maternal and reproductive counseling, and life transitions.
Hi, I’m Angela. I understand that reaching out for support is often the hardest part of the journey, especially when you feel life is heavy or uncertain. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are navigating the complexities of recovery, the weight of grief, or the shifting transitions of midlife. Since 2016, I have focused my career on supporting adults through the challenges of substance use, working across all levels of care, including detox, residential, and medication-assisted treatment.
As both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Addiction Counselor, I have invested significant additional education and clinical hours specifically in the field of addiction. I believe it is important to work with a therapist who focuses on these patterns, as alcohol and substance use rarely exist in isolation. They are often intertwined with anxiety, codependency, trauma, and relationship stress. In our sessions, we will explore how these challenges impact one another and work toward your specific goals for change, whether that involves moderation or choosing abstinence.
I am also passionate about supporting women navigating the challenges of perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life frequently brings a surge of symptoms such as irritability, brain fog, and anxiety where you might find yourself drinking more than you intended just to get through the day. I offer a nonjudgmental space to address these symptoms, helping you develop healthier ways to cope so you can feel like yourself again.
My practice is built on a foundation of grace, respect, and the belief in the inherent dignity of every individual. I provide a supportive environment where we can work through the messiness together to build a life that aligns with your true values and goals.

I will strive to help you find the things inside of you that will help you overcome past struggles and allow you to grow. I believe that it's not my place to advise you on what you should do, but encourage you to make the changes that best fit your season of life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who provides thoughtful, collaborative psychotherapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and patterns that may leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves.
My clinical approach is grounded in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe therapy should create space not only to address what you are feeling, but also to understand what may be happening beneath the surface. I help clients explore how past relationships, experiences, beliefs, and emotional patterns may influence the way they think, feel, relate, and respond in the present.
While symptom relief matters, I do not believe therapy should focus on symptoms alone. I work with clients to understand the meaning behind their experiences while also using practical CBT strategies to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier responses, and strengthen coping skills.
My therapeutic style is conversational, reflective, supportive, and insight-oriented. Sessions provide space to slow down, think openly, make connections, and better understand yourself without feeling pressured to have everything figured out.
I especially enjoy working with adults who are functioning in their daily lives but recognize that something feels unresolved, overwhelming, repetitive, or out of alignment. Therapy becomes a place to explore what is happening, understand yourself more deeply, and make intentional changes that support greater emotional well-being and a more fulfilling life.
Thanks for stopping by I’m glad to see you are taking the steps to change your situation. I view myself as a change agent, I’m here to help you through the process. Almost all of us find areas in our lives in which we need guidance.

These personal interests help me relate to the balance of work, family, and self-care that many clients face. I am eager to expand my work from the school environment into the broader community, offering a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges and grow towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to collecting evidenced based "tools for my toolbox" to aid those grappling with finding the new normal after their world has shifted. I take an action-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of psychoeducation, storytelling, and evidenced-based interventions to offer meaningful insight to support clients’ healing. I strongly believe that rock bottom is the foundation upon which we can rebuild our lives. We do regular check-ins to review progress along the way. Our goal is not to change the past, but instead to find some relief from symptoms that impact daily functioning. What happens when our well-intentioned - yet sometimes uncooperative - brains try to protect us from experiencing harm? Yup, you got it! It's called Stress, also known as Anxiety, and at times it can be quite the nuisance. You are welcome to join me on a journey of knowledge and self-discovery to recognize and appreciate how our brain and bodies have helped us survive the personal challenges and struggles life presents. And then, let's help our brain recognize that, when we are actually safe, we don't need to go into stress mode, and we can learn how to direct Anxiety to take a seat until it is next needed.
Often times, Anxiety's friends, Depression and Trauma, love to join the party (uninvited). Together, we can learn to appreciate them as well, while sending them on their way.
Along the way, let's tap into a bit of Grace and Self-Compassion. Let's also identify the multitude of Strengths and Resources in place, and use them to move from a Fear-Based response, to one of Courage.

I work with people who desire a better understanding of who they are, who their authentic self is and integrating that self with their identity structure. I also work with people making life transition(s) and require a caring and listening ear to help guide them through the process. I provide individual, couples and family counseling.
