Step back for one second and look at you for making it this far! Go you! I know it doesn't always feel the greatest to allow yourself to be vulnerable, but you're at the starting line to helping yourself (with a little help from your new therapist - Ariel!) I have been in practice providing services in Illinois for 10 years working with a variety of clients. I'm here to help support you, provide encouragement, and empower you to be the best you. I am here to be a support for you through life stress, managing your mood and helping reduce the symptoms bringing you into therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

That first step to therapy can feel like a doozy, but you did it! Our first therapy session is about getting to know each other, completing paperwork to evaluate your needs/wants and exploring some goals for yourself in therapy. This first session is for you to ask questions about what treatment will look like and to evaluate if we're a match made in therapeutic heaven.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am patient and focused on you. I have experience in treating depression, mood disorders, life transitions, and so many other situations. I rely heavily on understanding your symptoms so that we can best process stressors together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a go-to favorite to identify negative thoughts and behaviors to challenge them and make improvements in functioning.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I love DBT because of its emphasis on interpersonal skills and radical acceptance at its core. We can’t always change the way things are but we can learn to pivot and cope.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Let’s set goals and figure out where we need to go to achieve them. Solution focused brief therapy allows us to prioritize one or two goals and hone in on making positive changes and improvements.

Strength-Based

We want to focus on empowering you, identifying your strengths and using those to move forward in your journey to recovery.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is so unique to every individual and being trauma informed in practice is imperative.
