Welcome! I'm Kyle, a compassionate and dedicated licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) with a focus on helping individuals and couples overcome challenges and achieve meaningful change. With a Master's degree in Counseling and specialized training in EMDR, Gottman Method Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I offer a holistic approach to healing and growth. Some of my favorite clients to work with higher education students, client's suffering from social anxiety, and burnout. In addition, I have a special interest in exercise/nutrition and alternative treatments.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative, empathetic, and solution-focused. I believe in creating a warm and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and learn practical tools to improve their lives. By integrating techniques from EMDR, the Gottman Method, and CBT, I tailor treatment plans to address each client's unique goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in private practice for the past 14 years, I have gained a wide away of experiences working with clients from all different backgrounds. The best approach I have found to working with most clients is adding structure to each session. I think it's important to establish goals early on in treatment and create an action plan at the end of each session. Action plans can often include smaller steps that lead to bigger goals.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have received the full training on EMDR and have been using it for the 9 years. I use it primarily for PTSD/trauma and anxiety

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT for the 14 years. Some of the conditions I use it for includes anxiety disorders, depressive disorder, trauma, social confidence, and grief

Gottman method

I did one of my practicums in the Gottman method during graduate school. I have also completed trainings with the gottman institute. I have used this method for 14 years. I have found that this method works well with promoting healthy communication and as well as deepening connecting within relationships.
