I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years. I started my career working in Outpatient Addictions working with adults, adolescents and families exposed to substance use and codependency. After a decade of working in the field of addictions, I took the opportunity to start working with individuals struggling to establish interpersonal boundaries in romantic and familial relationships as well as those struggling with conflict in the workplace. Together we can: Develop skills at establishing boundaries by using clear communication to express your feelings and emotions without fear of disappointing others. Identify and honor your needs are so that you can improve your quality of life and and deepen relationships. Learn to protect your peace by saying no without the worry of damaging the relationship. Understand the value of your worth by taking control of your life.
In my work with individuals struggling with substance use and anxiety, I have found there is also hidden trauma that has been buried underneath the other symptoms. Often individuals have had their needs overlooked or have had to accept another’s bad behavior to get their needs met. It has left the person feeling crushed and heartbroken. The person becomes exhausted and overburdened doing everything to make the relationship work and no longer have the energy to put themselves first. Now is the time to change that. Now is the time to take care of YOU!
My strengths as a provider come from being a Clinical Social Worker for 25 years and helping people struggling with so many different issues. I understand the feeling of disbelief that this is your life and you don’t know how you got there. I know the courage it takes to want to change and reach out for help. I will be there for you in the worst parts and the best parts of this healing journey.
