Are you feeling overwhelmed, hurt, sad, angry, worried, or even heartbroken? Are you looking to get some things off your mind to a trusted professional? Have you experienced traumatic events or not even sure if it would be considered traumatic? We can find the answer to that together. I have approximately 4 years of experience working with adults and teenagers who experience all of the above concerns and more! I am here to help you find solutions and motivate you to find your own answers. Therapy should begin with you and your healing process should be guided by a therapist who is going to listen and help you see things about yourself you may not be able to see, and come up with solutions to your problems that are right for YOU! Therapy is not advice giving, but a process where you are in control of where the session goes, and you choose what you want to focus on. I will assist in providing the tools and be there to listen. I used a range of therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solutions focused therapy, and eventually I will become certified in EMDR. You are not the same person as anyone else, therefore you will need a unique therapeutic approach that will fit your needs. I have experience with couples, anger management groups, parenting groups, children, families, and individuals across the lifespan. My specialty is working with adults and teenagers. If you are having any active suicidal thoughts, my remote practice may not be appropriate for you as we will not be meeting face to face, and you are urged to contact a crisis line instead. One simple crisis line is "988". If you would like to schedule a session, please send an email to Sabrinamarlow92@gmail.com or you can call 815-242-0250.

It takes a great deal of courage to admit that you feel different, that you are experiencing feelings of depression or anxiety, or you just feel off and would like to talk to someone who is trained and licensed to help you. College, family, relationships, and life and career goals are difficult no matter what stage of life you are in and sometimes it helps to talk to a professional who can teach you skills to manage your emotions or can listen to you without judgment.
I am a licensed therapist who has been practicing for more than 15 years. I work with individuals, families, and couples. Life is challenging, you don’t need to navigate it by yourself.
If you are bewildered and unsure of your life path, experiencing strained relationships, having difficulty “keeping up” and continually feeling overwhelmed, you are not alone. These are questions that many of my clients are searching for answers to. Life comes with many responsibilities and can be challenging to navigate. Children, adolescents and adults are becoming discouraged, lacking motivation, and frustrated by their commitments. Here are a few of the issues that I assist my clients with; I help children develop their social skills, and how to problem-solve situations, I help adolescents examine their choices in life and how to manage their emotions, and I work with adults to find purpose in life and develop self-care. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I will help guide you to identify your current concerns and to learn about your past to help us with the present. I will help identify your strengths and explore ways to use them to address life’s questions and challenges. Together we will formulate goals to address during our sessions.

Welcome! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Northern Illinois. I've been in practice since 2006. I specialize in treating adult individuals and couples who struggle with Anxiety, Self-Esteem Issues, Difficult Life Transitions, Trauma, and Relationship Distress (including Infidelity, Communication Difficulties, Sex-Life Difficulties, Connection...and many other struggles.)
My graduate training was at Texas Woman's University, where I earned an MS in Family Therapy. I did my concentrated practicum work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I relocated from Texas to Northern Illinois in 2010 with my husband and children. During COVID-19, I took my practice 100% telehealth, which has allowed me to connect with even more people than ever before.
In my spare time, I enjoy time spent with my family, reading, sewing, quilting, kayaking, and tending to my vegetable and herb garden.

Hi there! I’m Edith, but please, call me Edie. As an out and proud transgender woman, I am excited to work with the LGBT community through sexuality- and gender-affirming treatment.
Are you struggling with your gender and/or sexuality? I would love to walk with you as we collaboratively work to find answers, solutions, and resilience. I help queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming folks travel the path of living your truth!
Through conversation guided by CBT, DBT, and emotion-focused therapy, we will peel back the layers of identity to find your wonder, beauty, and strength. I approach each client interaction with unconditional positive regard. I am warm and not judgmental. So bring your whole self. I cannot wait to meet you!
I am available for in-person sessions at your home or virtual sessions at this time.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out! Do you ever have those days when things are especially difficult?? Many of the people that I meet are looking for support with mental health, substance abuse, and managing traumatic events. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also have extensive experience supporting teenagers who have experienced trauma, which led me to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Currently, I work with adults and youth, and I'm a strong believer in the mental/physical health connection. I am currently a social worker for a small hospice team in my area so am comfortable having uncomfortable conversations.
I believe in strengths-based recovery that looks at all the systems that can impact us. Bits and pieces of different models incorporated together tend to have the most benefit, based on the person's needs. I have seen so many great successes! I enjoy supporting the people I work with and going through their journey with them. I am currently licensed in both IL and TN. When I am not in sessions, you will find me hiking with the doggos, road-tripping in the Jeep, and going into "Mom Mode" with my three kids.
I look forward to connecting with you :)

Hello! So glad you are here! Do you get into relationships hoping that this time things will be different? Do you feel overwhelmed and have a hard time exploring and working towards your goals or just life fulfillment? Would you like a more kind and loving relationship with yourself? I love helping people who are ready to identify patterns that hold them back from happiness and fulfillment in both relationship and other areas of life.
My name is Lisa and I provide therapy for both addictions and mental health issues. While I have treated those with active addiction for many years, I also treat the patterns stemming from addictions and family dysfunction. This can impact relationships as well as how we see ourselves throughout life.
I have a Masters of Education degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University specializing in Substance Abuse. From substance abuse counseling, I have expanded my areas of specialties to include family and relationship dynamics and how to heal survival skills" that have evolved into self defeating life patterns.

Do you struggle with depression, anxiety, a challenging relationship, or childhood/adult trauma that affects your day-to-day life, your relationships, or even your ability to function? Do you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or lost with being able to just get through the day? Do you question or wonder if life could or will get better? Now more than ever, people are feeling anxious, depressed, uncertain and overwhelmed and some are feeling nothing at all about the struggles.
I love to empower high-functioning men and women to recognize their strengths and resiliency. With a mix of cognitive therapy and bodywork together we can get to the root of the problem. When taking a holistic approach together we can address the mind, body, and spirit.

Hello, my name Patrick and I served in three combat tours: serving our country for nine years as a United States Marine. I decided to serve those that are mentally ill in 2013 after my tour of service. After 5 years of study and schooling I got my start in 2017 in a dual-disorder treatment center conducting Intensive inpatient/outpatient groups and utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy as an approach to treating mental health disorders.
Today, I specialize in taking an eclectic approach to using interventions looking at the holistic approaches to the human dynamic. This means looking at a person’s relationships and/or lack, cognitive schemas, their behaviors and habits, their priorities, and then determining how interventions and treatment plans will be formulated. I look at a person’s self-concept and determine holistically how their behaviors, thoughts, and patterns are contributing to their problems and functioning. The skills and tools of a therapist are the personal characteristics they bring into therapy: empathy, active listening these aren’t just attributes that look good on paper but are verbal and non-verbal forms of communication; and its these skills I believe what enables successful outcomes in therapy.
