Hi and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois. I have worked in the mental health field since 2013, starting out in community mental health and crisis services. I work primarily with teens and adults, specializing in challenges facing early adulthood (18-25). I have extensive experience in crisis services and outpatient treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions. We will work collaboratively to foster a positive relationship and help you develop the language and skills to manage all of life's challenges. I am passionate about everyone finding their place in this world and creating meaningful connections. Life is not easy but we can get through this together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will spend some time getting comfortable with each other and getting to know each other. We will talk about what has led you seeking help and devise a plan together that we can work towards.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Starting out my career in crisis services, I have faced the various aspects of the human experience and have seen the tremendous amount of strength and resilience that people inherently have and can help my client see that strength and resilience and use it in an effective way. I understand that something does not work for everyone and I am adaptable to my client's need. I do not follow a "cookie-cutter" treatment and take the time to tailor a client's therapy experience to what they need and where they are at in their journey for change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients are teens and adults that have either been diagnosed with a mental health condition or are experiencing challenges for the very first time. They are seeking help to understand their symptoms and are willing to engage in the work of therapy to improve and manage the effects on their day-to-day life. The years between 18 and 25 have a unique set of challenges that can often lead to feelings of depression, anxiety, and a lot of uncertainty. My clients in this age range, particularly, are seeking an ally to help them navigate those challenges and develop a plan for their future and feel more secure in their own decision making.

She has a knack for making people think beyond the way they’ve always seen things. Challenges you’d mind and heart in healthy ways. Either validates feelings or helps you see things differently when appropriate. I’ve done therapy since I was in 2nd grade and she is by far the most helpful therapist I’ve worked with. I recommend her to friends often!

She was relatable and understanding. Really let me talk and she just listened. For it being the first time, I felt like it was a great introduction to therapy.
